The Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of Pralaya
Paramashiva’s message directly from Kailasa: I will explain the physics, chemistry, and biology of this great deluge — pralaya — happening all over the world. The physics of anything means “the first principle of its existence.” I will explain the physics of pralaya, this great deluge and destruction.
Four Types of Destruction
Destruction sometimes happens through uncontrolled creation. When something is produced in excessive quantity, it leads inevitably to its own destruction. In the time of the Mahabharata, a massive number of weapons were produced, and because of that overwhelming creation, all of them ultimately had to be destroyed under controlled conditions. Krishna took that responsibility, acting as the controlled condition, and saved prakriti by destroying all the weapons. Destruction can happen through sheer overproduction alone.
Destruction can also happen through neglect — through not maintaining what has been created. The great temples of Angkor Wat, Cambodia, stand as a monument to this truth: simply because they were not properly maintained, destruction happened. There is also the wild and ferocious form of destruction — like a tsunami or a forest fire — that enters and destroys directly and violently.
The fourth kind of destruction is delusion-based destruction. The physics of this present pralaya is delusion. Destruction will happen because of delusion.
This Is Not Just the Corona Crisis — It Is Pralaya
Deaths due to the coronavirus will be a relatively small number, but all the cascading crises and other impacts of the entire coronavirus phenomenon will be a hundred times larger. That is why I am calling this pralaya. It is triggered by this pandemic, but it is not limited to it. This entire deluge will primarily be centered on delusion. The delusional share markets will collapse. The delusional economy will collapse. The delusional relationships will collapse. Even your delusional identities will collapse — the identity you have been building for decades, built on a few fundamental delusions as its source, will simply give way. That is why I say large numbers of people are going to suffer from mental breakdown and mental disorders, because a large number of human beings have built their minds on delusion.
How Your Core Mental Pattern Is Formed
How many times you remember your strengths is the basic core pattern of your existence. For example, if someone remembers a hundred times every day: “I have so many millions in my bank account and so many properties under my control,” then his entire core mental setup is built on money — on delusion. If someone remembers: “How beautiful I look,” their whole mental setup is built on their physical appearance — on the length, breadth, depth, and curves of their body. What you again and again remember as your strength forms the core pattern of your mind.
Build on Powerfulness, Not Delusion
If you build your mind based on your consciousness and powerfulness — saying, “My possibilities, abilities, and powers through my very existence are my strength” — and build your personality on that foundation, you are a conscious being. You cannot collapse and you will not be destroyed in this great deluge. In each pralaya, certain beings survive. This pralaya‘s physics is based on delusion. So if you built your personality based on delusion, you will collapse. If you built it based on powerfulness, you will not collapse. It is not too late. You can start building even now. Anyone who consciously decides even now can begin building from this very moment.
Yoga, the Body, and Samana Prana
The core values you think of as “you” should be powerfulness. No gym or weight-lifting can give you powerfulness about your body. But yoga can, because yoga strengthens you from your inner core. What you perceive as yourself — that awareness that you have the ability to spread all over your body and own it completely — that possibility is called Samana prana in the yogic tradition, and yoga is what strengthens it. You can go to the gym while deluded, thinking about your girlfriend. But in yoga, you cannot do that. Yoga requires your visualization and your conscious declaration about yourself. So if you build your body through yoga, you will not collapse in this delusion-based deluge.
The Echo Pandemic of Mental Illness
This delusion-based deluge is the governing physics of what is unfolding. People will forget they are married, forget whom they married — seriously, this is not one of my usual jokes about marriage. People will simply lose the basic cognitions about their own existence. The echo pandemic of mental illness will not merely be a collection of individual illnesses; it will be like an entire ecosystem of mental illnesses. I also shared yesterday that the constant stream of negative news about COVID-19 and this deluge will shatter your nervous system. It is better to sit in Padmasana as much as possible so your system is strengthened, immunized, and cannot be shattered by this deluge of negative news. Please avoid negative news as much as possible.
Of course, there is some information you need to run your life during this pandemic — whether your city is under lockdown, what can and cannot be done. During those necessary moments, some negative news will unavoidably reach you. News such as a celebrity you know being affected by the coronavirus will make you shiver and shatter your confidence in your known world. To face all of that, strengthen your nervous system through Padmasana. Integrity and unclutching follow naturally from that strengthened state.
Depression vs. Bhava Samadhi
Due to delusion and powerlessness, losing your identity is called depression — shunyata — delusion. But due to powerfulness and a higher and higher state, if you lose yourself, that is called Bhava Samadhi! This great deluge actually gives you the possibility to go higher and higher and enter into Bhava Samadhi. When the door opens for someone to get out, you can get in; when the door opens for someone to get in, you can get out. Now the door of delusion — the phase of delusion — is opening for a reset.
The Cosmic Phase of Trobhava
Cosmically, the Trobhava — the energy of delusion — is intensely active right now. You can easily and beautifully use this situation to become enlightened, because to pull someone into delusion or pull someone out of delusion, Paramashiva has to open this phase. Now He is opening this space for the pralaya to happen. This pralaya is fundamentally playing out on the plane of delusion. Suddenly, you will find yourself doing things you never expected — leaving the master without knowing why, losing interest in a career you never imagined abandoning, finding that a person you always considered important is no longer important to you. You don’t know why. This is delusion at work — and you can use this force of delusion to your great advantage.
Use Delusion to Rise Higher
Many things that have been making you powerless — you can unclutch from them now and rise to higher and higher consciousness. Many things that can bring health, joy, and life-positivity — you can connect with them now. Many things that are life-negative — you can now easily unclutch from them. It is like this: if you tune your body even for just one or two days, doing Nirahara Samyama and fasting becomes very easy. Fasting becomes easy because you can unclutch from the delusion-based food patterns, delusion-based sleep, and laziness patterns.
Delusion-Based Living and the Four Types of Vairagya
Consider this pattern: you want a healthy body and an active life, but you never get out of bed. You end up offering puja to Nidra Devi all day long in your bed — she becomes your Ishta Devata! This is delusion-based laziness. What you genuinely want is entirely different from how you actually live, and you forget your real intention because of delusion. You want to lose weight, but all day you eat and snack and taste while serving others. Only when you step on the weighing scale does the thought arise: “I need to lose weight!” This is the weighing-scale vairagya — a passing renunciation that does not stand.
Compare this to the three forms of vairagya in the Hindu tradition that also do not stand: Smashana Vairagya — when a close relative dies and you stand at the cremation ground and feel: “What is there in life? He is dead.” But that feeling vanishes in ten days. Garbha Kala Vairagya — the vairagya a woman feels during the intensity of childbirth: “No more…” But it does not stand, and she plans for the next child. Markata Vairagya — the monkey’s vairagya: after eating a bitter fruit, the monkey thinks “I will never eat this again,” but the moment it sees another monkey eating, it joins in. In the weighing-scale vairagya, you vow on the scale: “From today I will start Nirahara Samyama,” you even go and register for the program — but you still have to stop the cooking and stop putting food in your mouth!
The Deluge Gives You the Power to Reset
This delusion-based lifestyle — during this deluge time — you are supported to get out of it, because the entire energy of Trobhava is open. You can reset your very identity. You can compete with your own past and consciously build your life based on Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. For example, you can declare: “I want these kinds of values in my life, and these kinds of principled people around me.” Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha — whenever you consciously claim certain values as the core principles of your life, you will have the safety net of people who live by those same values surrounding you and creating your family, your teamily, around you. That is the beauty of Dharma!
Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha means: any core value — Dharma — that you recognize as the core principle of your life, that you would leave everything else for but never compromise on, becomes your juice and your identity. Those values will attract people who honour the same values in their lives, making your life secure and turning it into a celebration.
Swamiji’s Core Values — Ahimsa and Guru Parampara
The fundamental core value I celebrate is nonviolence and love — Ahimsa. A few days ago, someone asked, “Swamiji, there are so many locusts here. Should we kill them?” I said no. They have come to our place for food. Are they threatening life? Are they a danger to the children or elders? If not, you have no right to kill them. They should all eat and keep themselves happy. That is the way the rain showers and nature flows. Monkeys should eat, peacocks should eat, birds should eat, bees and flies and insects should all eat. Only something that directly threatens the lives of children and elders has any justification to be removed. My core values are Ahimsa — extreme love — and not giving up.
True to my Guru and Guru Parampara, I am integrated to their core, and I have a deep, sincere commitment and tyaga — willingness to sacrifice — at any level, to make the Guru Parampara flourish. I reproduce, for the next generation, exactly what Arunagiri Yogishwara gave me. And when I say “next generation,” that generation can be of any age — nine years or ninety years. If you are my disciple, you are my next generation. That is my sincere commitment to my Guru Parampara.
Gratitude to All Gurus
Whatever Arunagiri Yogishwara gave me, whatever my Guru Parampara gave me — I pass that on to the next generation. Even though Arunagiri Yogishwara is my core Satguru, the Paramaguru who gave me enlightenment and the pure oneness, I have had many other gurus who have contributed enormously to my life. I cannot become ungrateful or take those other gurus for granted simply because of the supreme grace of Arunagiri Yogishwara. Because of the sun, one should not take the stars for granted. Kuppammal, for example — she would work three to four hours a day, preparing aushadha for my body. My gurus performed the alchemy process on my very body and made my DNA new. Whatever my gurus have given me, I am reproducing that alone in my next generation. That is my commitment to my Guru Parampara. These are my core values. These are the ways I feel as my existence, as my pride, as me. I will never compromise on them, and I will always find that people who share these same values are attracted around me. Even if external attacks happen, they happen only in the periphery — not in the core — because in my core Dharma, I am very clear about my core principles.
Form Your Core Dharma Consciously
Form your core Dharma consciously. Your core Dharma does not mean being absolutely devoid of pleasure. Dharma is your core value. Artha is the way you want to manifest wealth, luxury, and resources. Kama is the principle with which you want to enjoy the pleasures of life. Moksha is the way in which you want to be liberated, enlightened, and manifest ultimate freedom and powerfulness. All four are part of life. You can choose how you want each of these to look and consciously build it during this pralaya. The pralaya gives you this possibility.
The Post-Pralaya World
A few years ago, I said in a satsang that soon people would have even gender as an option. Post-pralaya, passports and visas will not carry the same meaning. You will be able to choose the kind of atmosphere and ecosystem you want to live in — there will be multiple ecosystems. This pralaya is going to teach a hard lesson to all delusion-based ideas of ownership, thesis, and principles — where “thesis” means principles that have not yet become lifestyle, and “principles” means what has already become lifestyle. Many ideas of possessiveness and exclusivity will lose their value, forcibly. This deluge will take those delusion-based exclusivities away from humanity. Let all these words be recorded. You will understand the meaning of all of them within the next year or two. I am seeing the echo pandemic — the full impact of this pralaya — unfolding within that time.
The Gurukul Education System vs. the Culture of Exclusivity
Even our current education system is an extremely abusive way of trying to claim exclusivity over the next generation — and that is perhaps the worst form of it. Consider the Gayatri Mantra: our Rishis did not even want to prescribe a specific Ishta Devata to the next generation. Bhoor Bhuva Svaha. Tat Savitur Varenyam. Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi. Diyo Yo Na Prachodayat. It means: “Let the energy that ignites your very consciousness be meditated upon by you.” What non-possessive, great Rishis! They did not want to possess you or claim exclusivity over you by prescribing a specific god. They simply wanted to give you the tools and support your growth.
The Gurukul system gives you all the tools, equipment, methods, techniques, and knowledge you need to flourish — to access your ultimate possibility — and it empowers you to manifest your own peak, one not defined by anyone else. That is the Gurukul education system. That is why the Acharya seat in all Gurukuls is called Sarvajnapeetha — the seat of the all-knower. Only the tools for manifestation are given, and you are led to manifest. The most scientifically rigorous education system is the Gurukul system — foolproof tools, methods, and techniques are provided, and you are supported by a beautiful ecosystem in which to flourish. I am absolutely and extremely committed to my Guru Parampara, and I will make my Guru Parampara flourish!
Tips: 24-Hour Dry Fasting and the Taste of Samana
This deluge is a beautiful opportunity for all of you to build the best new body and become a new, conscious being. You can decide your core values, your core principles of luxury, your principles of pleasure, your possibilities, powers, freedom, and enlightenment. Here is one specific tip: do just a 24-hour dry fast. During dry fasting, you will feel your whole body tingling, alive, fresh, and bright. That state is called Samana. When your body draws on itself for nourishment, the prana released is called Samana. Just to taste Samana, try a 24-hour dry fast — you will understand what keeps you fresh and alive. After that experience, you will naturally start reducing the quantity of junk you have been dumping into your body.
The Jains — The Richest Community on Earth
The richest person on planet Earth is the one who has tasted fasting. The richest community on planet Earth is the Jains, because the Jains know the taste of fasting — their tongue has truly tasted it. If your tongue knows the taste of fasting the way it salivates for spices like gongura chutney and biryani, if it can salivate for fasting in that same way, you are the richest, healthiest person on Earth — one who is going to live long, happily, and healthily. The Jains are a remarkable community. They have tasted fasting and use it for the highest spiritual and health benefits. Talk and learn from your Jain friends about their lifestyle: it is an amazing and correct way of fasting.
A Personal Memory — The Jain Nuns of Tiruvannamalai
I want and need to put this on record: everyone who contributed to my life even one inch — I will neither forget them, nor take them for granted, nor fail to recognize them. The house where I was born in Tiruvannamalai had, just opposite it, a sincere and deeply practising Jain family. Many times, elderly Jain nuns would come there on foot and stay in their house to do Sallekhana — the sacred fast unto death, consciously leaving the body through fasting. I remember witnessing this at least five times. The kind of inspiration I received just by seeing them is beyond words. You cannot have a conversation with them, because they do not speak freely during this period. But simply by seeing and being in their proximity — since it was directly across from my home, I would go and observe them from a respectful distance — their austerity, integrity, and purity deeply moved me. I will surely place them among my gurus. A guru does not require that you spend time together or exchange many words. Sometimes, by presence and integrity alone, they inspire you. The integrity I witnessed in them was extraordinary.
Vadakkiruthal — The Shaivite Tradition of Conscious Departure
You yourself need not do Sallekhana. In the Shaivite tradition, a similar practice is called Vadakkiruthal. For South Indians, Kailasa is in the north; so sitting facing Kailasa, neither eating nor drinking, consciously leaving the body and departing to Kailasa, is an ancient tradition practised when one knows they have lived their complete life. Consider how many people die every year from junk food and obesity — a condition now called diabesity (diabetes combined with obesity) — and even with that knowledge, they continue to overeat. Overeating kills millions per year. And now hundreds of studies have proven that intermittent fasting makes you healthier and extends lifespan. Many times, you are not even hungry — you are irritated, frustrated, or depressed — and you start eating. Simply stop that. It is more than enough.
The Gut-Brain Connection and the Vicious Circle
Your gut and brain are deeply connected. The food you eat directly contributes to your anxiety, and your anxiety in turn drives your food choices. It is a vicious circle. Do not think that just because large quantities of food are available in civilized society, eating however you want is acceptable. No. Food that is not necessary for your sustenance goes inside you and destroys your life; it makes you deluded, makes you think foolish thoughts, and makes you function like a junkyard, a dustbin. The physics of this pandemic — this pralaya, this deluge — is delusion. Delusion means forgetting your core principles and values of existence. But this can be used to your advantage: you can forget your old, delusion-based mental patterns and start building a very healthy, conscious, life-positive, enlightenment-based way of living. If you have the pattern of eating not from hunger but from depression, frustration, or irritation, now is the time to get out of it. Start Nirahara Samyama. If you don’t know what to do with your life, if you have become tired and bored, now get out of it — start building.
From Millionaire Mind to Billionaire Mind — Salivating for Fasting
“Salivating for fasting” — even meditating on those words will help you build the quality and taste for fasting. If you develop the taste for fasting, you are moving from a millionaire’s mind to a billionaire’s mind. If food photographs and posters cannot make your tongue salivate, but the memory of fasting can — you have made that move. Celibacy is also a millionaire-to-billionaire mindset upgrade. If pornography cannot make you feel excitement but entering Bhava Samadhi makes you excited and inspired — then you have moved from a billionaire’s mind to a trillionaire’s mental setup.
Some people will think: “If I can’t eat nor have sex, what is the use of living?” How foolish! Are you reducing the whole of life to food and sex? And I am not saying to absolutely renounce these things. I am only saying: live a healthy lifestyle. Do not commit slow suicide through overeating and excessive indulgence. Bring yourself to a healthy, life-positive way of being.
Healthy Wealth — The Hindu Joint Family Structure
I have multiple elders in my extended family who have crossed the century mark. The youngsters may joke: “These people are not dying and the property is not coming to our hands!” But that is actually the best system — parents only will the property; they never formally transfer it while alive. So until the parents are alive and active, the younger generation learns the principles of money management and economy, and the family’s resources are never squandered by immature impulses. If you achieve something on your own within that structure, that is called excelling. The Hindu joint family economy never leaves anyone poor — everything is always provided for everyone. I am building Kailasa like a large Hindu joint family structure!
The Essence of Today’s Satsang — Learn to Salivate for Fasting
So the essence of today’s satsang is: learn to salivate for fasting! All three of my own gurus left their bodies through the Vadakkiruthal Jeeva Samadhi method — no food, no water, simply sitting in samadhi and departing the body consciously. Three days after Isakki Swamigal left his body, his hands and legs were still flexible, as if still alive from within. There was no pulse, but everything else appeared completely normal. When his body was finally placed in Jeeva Samadhi, it automatically locked into Padmasana and Chin Mudra. There was no freezing, no hardening of the body. All my sanyasis should manifest this power!
Practical Powers to Build
“Tasting fasting” is a power. “Enjoying fasting” is a power. “The ability to sit in Padmasana for hours together” is a power. You should build and manifest these. Give your body rich nourishment in the form of herbal juices, vitamins, minerals, and aushadas. Deny the junk-eating lifestyle and its associated mental setup. The physics of this pralaya is delusion — and here is the good news: because delusion naturally wipes away much of your past conditioning, you have the beautiful opportunity to build your future fresh. You can upgrade your millionaire mind to a billionaire mind and then to a trillionaire mind. I can give you the details of the Brahmana Brain — the best practices and techniques for developing trillionaire consciousness! Just start enjoying all the best things — that is it.
Nithya Puja — The Greatest Gift from Paramashiva
What is puja? Physically performing the ritual and thereby bringing back to yourself all the powerful cognitions that got lost because of delusion. Every day, through Nithya Puja — daily worship — you win over delusion by reclaiming those powerful cognitions. It is the trillionaire’s mental setup. You manifest trillions when you make Nithya Puja part of your life. All of the world’s richest and most influential Hindu communities — the Jains, the Patels, the Brahmins — have Nithya Puja as a cornerstone of their lifestyle. Among the Shaiva Vellalar, the particularly wealthy sect maintains Nithya Puja as their way of life. Study at least a thousand specimens of practising Hindus all over the world, Snehamayi, and you will see: rich, influential Hindu communities are highly organized and joyfully practise Nithya Puja as an organized lifestyle. Gods live in an organized way. When you observe this pattern, you will understand why I insist on Nithya Puja. These communities will not be washed away in the great delusion, Maya. Every day they win over Maya by realigning themselves with powerful cognitions through the physical practice of puja.
Nothing in the world is quite like puja! It is the greatest gift I received from Paramashiva. The greatest boon I received from Paramashiva is the habit of Nithya Puja, Shiva Puja. Even when I was doing parivrajaka — the wandering pilgrim life — and I had no deities with me, after bathing I would make a linga with a single drop of water, or with sand, or with my Rudraksh, and perform Nithya Puja. I never missed Nithya Puja! Do not ask: “What will be the boon I will receive if I do puja?” Fool! The very mind that enjoys puja is the greatest boon you can receive from Paramashiva, because that mind will ensure you never fall into delusion, never get carried away in Maya — you will remain absolutely centered, integrated, and focused on Paramashiva.
