Those who deny Life, get into the worst abodes filled with negative people and negativity.

ताँस्ते प्रेत्याभिगच्छन्ति ये के चात्महनो जनाः

Thaagumsthey prethyabhigachchanthi ye ke chaathmahano janaah

Prethyabhi (प्रेत्याभि) means, “after death”.  Prethyabhi (प्रेत्याभि) – “after death”.  Listen!  Whoever does “Athmahana”, “killing the Athman”, after death they get into the space where negative people live.  It is a simple truth.  Same frequency attracts same frequency.  Birds of same feathers flock together!  That’s all!  It is a simple fact; nothing mystical about it.  And, if you are a negative person, you will not be happy even in satsangh.  You will get only negative people and (gossip) – ‘Pssst! Do you know what he is doing?  Do you know what he is doing?  Do you know what she is doing?’  Only with that kind of talk you will also be comfortable!  ‘Yes!  Wow!  I feel so relieved!  And she is such a nice person and such good friend!’  And, same way, if you are a person aligned to the truth, and FOR life, spirituality, you will feel comfortable only with those kind of friends.  I tell you, this one statement:  ‘Tell about who is your friend, with whom you are hanging out, I will tell about you!’  This is the ultimate sutra!  I think this can even be added into Upanishads!  No, I can tell in our Sangha, based on who is walking with whom, who is hanging out with whom, who is sitting with whom, who is talking with whom, just with that I can tell whether this fellow is going to be evolving, or he is going to be disappearing soon, running away soon.  I can very clearly tell!  Same way, among devotees also, who hangs out with whom, and who takes selfie with whom and puts it in the Facebook, no, with that I know very clearly it is going to pass or fail! Saying “NO” to life, leads to the lower levels of existence, “Dussangha”, company of the lower level people.

असुर्या नाम ते लोका अन्धेन तमसाऽऽवृताः । ताँस्ते प्रेत्याभिगच्छन्ति ये के चात्महनो जनाः ॥

Asurya naama they lokaa andhena thamasaavruthaah | Thaagumsthey prethyabhigachchanthi ye ke chaathmahano janaah ||

Listen!  “Athmahana”, saying “NO” to life, leads to the lower levels of existence, “Dussangha”, company of the lower level people.  I tell you, that is the hell!  That is the hell! 

Company of the lower level people, because, they will somehow brainwash you to get into their space, and they will make you do what they want you to do.  Finally, they will put you in trouble; then they will escape; because they are very shrewd.  They will escape so that they will go and haunt the other person. One fellow, very popular preacher of suicide theology, he will preach, teach, literally mesmerize, hypnotize everyone to commit suicide, and lot of people have started committing suicide.  Teaching death is very easy.  That is why all death-based concepts spread like a wildfire.  All the death-based religions, concepts, killing yourself and killing others, they spread like a wildfire.  But the life-based religions, concepts, take lot of time.  The best life-based religion in Toto, hundred percent, is Jainism.  The pure, life-based religion, Ahimsa and life, saying “YES” to life!  But how much struggle that religion has to go through to spread!  Actually, there are no followers; literally there are no followers of Jainism.  That is the truth.  Except a handful of monks, a few people!  Because, it is life-based, doesn’t spread that wildly.  But all death-based concepts, they just spread like wildfire!

Understanding the original context for which you aspired the present situation, and looking at the present situation from that very context, and enjoying, celebrating, is “Completion”

Listen!  Whenever you perceive life is denying you something, just look at it from this angle.  It is silver lining that makes you see the cloud.  You cannot say, ‘Oh, what a big cloud!’  There is an end; only then you are seeing the cloud.  Even the energy which you get to say ‘life is denying you something’, means, you want something, so you say life is denying.  The very idea you want something, itself is enough proof life is supporting you!  Understand, I have a great news for you today:

ANYTHING YOU WANTED EVEN ONCE, YOU HAVE TO ENJOY IT!  You HAVE to enjoy it!  That is law of life. 

Anything you wanted even once…..  If you had a subtle greed for this seat even once, in any one of the future janmas (lives) you WILL BE MADE TO SIT IN THIS and go through all the responsibilities you need to take for this; only then you will be liberated, understand!  Only then you will be liberated!  If you decide for liberation, then if this seat happens, it will be so beautiful.  Just like how I am enjoying!  But, if you act for greed, nothing wrong; it will not be denied to you; but you have to live it, you have to enjoy it! Your possibilities being revealed to you, itself is a solid proof Life supports you!

Today I am going to expand on just only one word: “ATMAHANA”. 

Let us repeat the Upanishad.  Third mantra, third sutra in Ishavasya Upanishad:

 असुर्या नाम ते लोका अन्धेन तमसाऽऽवृताः । ताँस्ते प्रेत्याभिगच्छन्ति ये के चात्महनो जनाः ॥

Asurya naama they lokaa andhena thamasaavruthaah | Thaagumsthey prethyabhigachchanthi ye ke chaathmahano janaah ||

ATMAHANA!  Even while you are alive, saying “YES” to death, is “Atmahana”, hell.  Even during the so-called death, saying “YES” is liberation, enlightenment.  Varanasi stands for that principle, principle of saying “YES” to life even when it presents death!  Listen!  Saying “YES” to life even when it presents death!  Saying “NO” to life in any form is “Atmahana”, understand?  If you feel, if you perceive life is doing something against you, life is not letting what you want happen, this feeling – ‘Life is not co-operating with me, supporting me, making what I want happen’ – this feeling is as universal as the universe itself.
