Just as how the banyan seed is a possibility for banyan tree, you are a possibility for God Himself! When Kṛṣṇa tells us ‘I am God’, He means, ‘You too are God.’ He gives you the courage of authenticity.

This is a very strange statement. He says, ‘One who understands the nature of My appearance and activities will be liberated from this birth and death cycle.’ How can it be? He says, ‘Understand my transcendental nature of birthlessness and deathlessness.’ Just now He said he is birthless and deathless. Ajopi — I am birth less. Just now He says, ajo’pi sann avyayātmā bhūtānām īsvaro’pi san. He says, I am birth less and deathless.’

Kṛṣṇa is making this statement in a place where He needs to prove it. He is making this statement in a battlefield, where His life itself is at risk. One arrow is enough to finish His body. Yet He boldly declares, ‘I am God.’ What courage and energy behind His words! It can come only from a solid experience, a deep conscious experience.

Now He says,

If you understand the truth of the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities, once you leave the body you will not take birth and death like ordinary humans do. If you understand My transcendental nature, you will also achieve the same transcendental nature.’ ‘If you understand that I don’t take the body, you will not take the body either. If you understand I am liberated, you will realize that you are also liberated.’

How can it be?

The law of Cosmos and the natural law of Existence – Dharma is not comparison based philosophy of communism, socialism, capitalism or corporatism. But it is Responsibilism.

The idea of duty is different for different people, different countries, different cultures, and different religions. Hence the term ‘duty’ is impossible to clearly define. We have always been trained by society to consider certain acts as duty; some as good and others as bad. Duty and responsibility are totally different.
For example, it is our duty to help elderly people, to follow principles of truth, non-violence, non-stealing and such tenets. We are brought up with these concepts of morality, but have we experienced the beauty of implementing them?

When you actually take responsibility, Indra enters your hand; it becomes vajrāyudha. Yama enters your lungs; it means ‘not-stopping’. Lakṣhmi enters your heart; it means ‘continuously sharing’.

Then there are certain principles that get handed down depending on the religion we follow. For example, a starving person who finds a piece of meat has no problem eating it if he is a non-vegetarian. On the other hand, a vegetarian would feel it is his duty not to touch meat even if it means losing his life. These are all socially defined duties. Never judge the customs of other people by your standards. There is no common standard for the Universe. The lower dimensions of you are nothing but rejected parts of your higher dimensions. When your higher dimension is not materialized, your lower dimension is empowered!

Any pattern you create before the age of seven is the root pattern. Any pattern created after the age of seven is a parasite pattern.

First you will have to work on completing with the parasite patterns and then completing with all the root patterns. The moment the parasite pattern of envy or jealousy enters your being, authenticity disappears, purposelessness disappears. Again, you fall into social conditioning and you start running behind goals like a rat. Kṛṣṇa is asking Arjuna to bring śraddha or authenticity in action to the peak possibility of what he perceives as himself and what he projects as himself, without the parasite pattern of envy, anasūyanto.

Comparison or jealousy is the root from which inauthenticity justifies itself and continues to exist in you!

When you bring yourself to your peak, there is no wastage of inner power, there are no parasite patterns that can attack you. When you waste your love, it becomes lust. When you waste your responsibility, it becomes jealousy. The lower dimensions of you are nothing but rejected parts of your higher dimensions. When your higher dimension is not materialized, your lower dimension is empowered! Continue reading “The lower dimensions of you are nothing but rejected parts of your higher dimensions. A blind person until he gains his vision must have Shraddha, authenticity and lie on the operating table. He needs to allow the doctor to work on him as per doctor’s expectation on him.

Next Kṛṣṇa makes an important point. Kṛṣṇa says: Those persons who execute their duties according to My injunctions and who follow this teaching faithfully with authenticity, without envy,

ye me matam idaṁ nityam anutiṣṭhanti mānavāḥ I

śraddhāvanto ‘nasūyanto mucyante ‘pi karmabhiḥ II 3.31

Here you need to understand two things. He says, ‘according to My instructions, My words, ye me matam idaṁ nityam’. It means when you enter into your being, whatever your being says is Kṛṣṇa’s words. When He says My instructions, He means the instructions from the ātman, the being.

Your life is going smoothly in spite of you, not because of you! Continue reading “A blind person until he gains his vision must have Shraddha, authenticity and lie on the operating table. He needs to allow the doctor to work on him as per doctor’s expectation on him.”

Many devotees feel they are touching a soft pillow or even feel nothing when I initiate them during energy Darshan. Basically, enlightened beings are just energy.

An ignorant man says to himself, ‘I shall do this action and thereby enjoy its result.’ A wise man should not unsettle this belief. Instead, he himself should set an example by performing his responsibilities diligently from the space of leadership, but without attachment. If the wise man condemns the actions performed with attachment, the ignorant person may simply decide to neglect his responsibilities.

It is like this. Can you explain to a child that his toys are not precious? No! The child will never be able to understand that. It has to grow and automatically its attachment to toys will drop when maturity happens. Similarly, the ignorant person can first do the action only with attachment. But upon seeing the wise person being unaffected by his own actions and being always blissful, naturally, the ignorant one will get curious to know the secret behind happiness. The example of the wise man will automatically pull him towards work with detachment. Do your work with authenticity and responsibility to enrich others and yourself, surrendering the responsibility of the results to Existence because Existence loves you and understands you better than you understand yourself

There are two techniques by which one can liberate oneself from attachment to work.

One is by telling oneself, ‘I am not the doer.’ By continuously reminding yourself that it is the senses and not you who is doing something, you distance yourself from the action. This is what Kṛṣṇa explains in the previous verses. The other way is by surrendering the fruits of one’s work to the Divine to the ultimate life force that is conducting this Universe. This is the technique that Kṛṣṇa talks about here.

Bhagavān says, ‘O Kaunteya, perform your work for Me and you will do it with authenticity, liberated and without attachment, tad-arthaṁ karma kaunteya mukta-saṅgaḥ samācara (3.9).’ Continue reading “Do your work with authenticity and responsibility to enrich others and yourself, surrendering the responsibility of the results to Existence because Existence loves you and understands you better than you understand yourself”

People who move away from life, work and people to save their pattern are in the worst bondage!

Never make the mistake of thinking that you will be fulfilled when your purpose is fulfilled. Your fulfillment is completely different from the fulfillment of your purpose. If you want to experience fulfillment, the space of completion, you have to work in a totally different dimension of your life. If you want completion of your being, listen to what Kṛṣṇa says here.

Kṛṣṇa is the first and the last Master who declared the truth as it is. There are two things to understand: Always, people who are active in the outer world know the techniques to achieve success in the outer world. People who are active in the inner world know the techniques to achieve success in the inner world.  Continue reading “People who move away from life, work and people to save their pattern are in the worst bondage!”

Your body, mind, inner space, consciousness, whatever you feel about you, go on expanding, expanding, expanding! That is the only way life can continue to ooze in you, overflow in you.

Kṛṣṇa says,

Act without attachment. Do not worry about success or failure in results. Center yourself in wisdom of completion that takes you beyond action and the desire for fruits of action. Once you are centered in wisdom of completion you will act wisely. Once you give up attachment to results, you will be freed from the cycle of birth and death and you will be beyond sorrow.’

In the next verse, Kṛṣṇa begins initiating Arjuna into yoga with the second tattva of authenticity or śraddha. Kṛṣṇa is the greatest strategist of life. Here, He begins revealing the truth of authenticity, the strategy of life, the strategy that will make Arjuna succeed and expand!

Every time inauthenticity is allowed in you, it leaves a powerful fear in you

Kṛṣṇa declares, ‘yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam.

Please understand, I first want you to understand these words:

yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam—yoga is authenticity in action.’ Not just ‘perfection in action’ but I am translating it as ‘authenticity in action.’ Continue reading “Your body, mind, inner space, consciousness, whatever you feel about you, go on expanding, expanding, expanding! That is the only way life can continue to ooze in you, overflow in you.”

The entire teaching of Bhagavad Gītā can be summarized in the two verses 2.47, 2.48.

The sheer brilliance of the wisdom of the Universal Master is reflected in these verses. Whenever I get a chance I refer to these verses to explain how one should lead one’s life.

Kṛṣṇa says many, many things in these few words. He says, ‘You have the right and responsibility to work. You have no responsibility or right to the results of that work. Do not focus on the result and make it either a pattern of greed to chase or fear to stay away from. Do what you have to do with a centered mind, a complete inner space without worrying about whether you will succeed or fail.’

Spirituality is the total understanding and cognition of completion with life – materially, physically, emotionally, relationally and in all senses without any incompletion and responding to life with the four tattvas, spiritual principles of integrity, authenticity, responsibility and enriching.

Every thought, every desire you have is a commitment you have given to yourself. Every thought you complete is a word you have given to you. You have to honor it. You cannot entertain any thought of fear or greed, doubt or denial because you are literally sitting under a kalpataṛu, a wish-fulfilling tree, all the time!

Completion means feeling empowered, feeling powerful, without any hangover, without feeling powerless, during and after every situation in your life!

There is a beautiful story.

Once a traveler was resting under a tree in a forest, without knowing that the tree was a Kalpataṛu. Celebrate your Self saying a deep ‘yes’ to you as you are! Celebrate the very Existence of the world by realizing it is an independent intelligence with profound mystery constantly expanding with causeless auspiciousness! Celebrate God as creativity overflowing for no reason! When you celebrate the existence of Self, World and God, you will suddenly see all these three disappear into celebration and what remains is eternal bliss, Nithyananda!

One thing has to be understood very clearly.

The whole of Existence is an auspicious happening. You are part of Existence, so everything happening around you is also auspicious. This is the truth of Existence. Nothing that happens in Existence is inauspicious. Everything is only a blessing.

If this is understood clearly, there is nothing to complain about in life. If this is understood clearly, your very eye becomes a grateful eye. It sees everything as extraordinary. Nothing appears mundane. Everything appears as a miracle. Miracles are continuously happening in front of our eyes. But we continuously miss them! Only because we miss them, life itself appears to be dull sometimes. When we start perceiving them, our entire life becomes a miracle. The truth is, there are too many miracles happening around us in our lives.
If we celebrate the three things, the existence of the self, world and god, we will experience the whole of Existence as a blessing that is happening continuously. Let me explain.

When you celebrate the existence of the self, god and world, all three will reveal their mysteries to you. Please understand that when I say celebrate the self, god and world, I am not giving you moral advice. I am giving you a spiritual technique. Continue reading “Celebrate your Self saying a deep ‘yes’ to you as you are! Life becomes materialistic when you expand your ahamkara and it becomes moralistic when you work on your mamakara. Unclutch from both and realize you are beyond both.

This is an incident from the days right after my enlightenment when I was in Tamil Nadu in South India.

One evening, I was sitting in a very relaxed mood in a forest. My eyes were open, but I was not seeing anything, as there was no information going inside and getting processed. There was a huge snake lying about three feet in front of me. Because the eyes were not processing any information, there was no fear inside. I was sitting and the snake was also so relaxed and comfortable.

Then slowly, my mind came down to the normal plane and I had a thought, ‘Oh, there is a snake.’ Then the next thought came, ‘I should move away.’ The moment the thought ‘snake’ came in my inner space, I saw very clearly that the snake also felt disturbed that there was a man in its presence.

Until I felt ‘There is a snake,’ the snake never felt that I am a man. Until I felt the fear, the snake never felt threatened by me. Neither did I have fear nor did the snake have fear. But the moment I had fear, the snake also got fear. It was not that the physical distance between us reduced. Just the thought ‘snake’ came in me and I was clearly able to feel there was a disturbance, a restlessness, in the snake’s inner space. The moment I had the thought ‘I should move’, the moment I had the fear, immediately the snake also felt the same insecurity, the same threat. Immediately, the snake started moving, even before I started moving.

When your ego becomes strong, your ability to connect with Nature is disturbed. Continue reading “Life becomes materialistic when you expand your ahamkara and it becomes moralistic when you work on your mamakara. Unclutch from both and realize you are beyond both.”
