Only an enlightened person who is a king, or a king who is an enlightened person, can know the totality of spirituality.

You need to understand that Kṛṣṇa is just thirty-two years old when He makes this statement! Physically His body is only thirty-two years old. But He says, ‘I gave this imperishable knowledge to Sūrya, the Sun god – imaṁ vivasvate yogaṁ proktavān aham avyayam (4.1).’ Of course, this is very difficult to understand! With logic, you cannot understand this statement. With ordinary logic, which you use in your daily life, you cannot make any meaning out of this statement. In the next statement He says: ‘The supreme science, this yoga as it was, appears to have been lost in course of time.’ Continue reading “Only an enlightened person who is a king, or a king who is an enlightened person, can know the totality of spirituality.”

The lower dimensions of you are nothing but rejected parts of your higher dimensions. When your higher dimension is not materialized, your lower dimension is empowered!

Any pattern you create before the age of seven is the root pattern. Any pattern created after the age of seven is a parasite pattern.

First you will have to work on completing with the parasite patterns and then completing with all the root patterns. The moment the parasite pattern of envy or jealousy enters your being, authenticity disappears, purposelessness disappears. Again, you fall into social conditioning and you start running behind goals like a rat. Kṛṣṇa is asking Arjuna to bring śraddha or authenticity in action to the peak possibility of what he perceives as himself and what he projects as himself, without the parasite pattern of envy, anasūyanto.

Comparison or jealousy is the root from which inauthenticity justifies itself and continues to exist in you!

When you bring yourself to your peak, there is no wastage of inner power, there are no parasite patterns that can attack you. When you waste your love, it becomes lust. When you waste your responsibility, it becomes jealousy. The lower dimensions of you are nothing but rejected parts of your higher dimensions. When your higher dimension is not materialized, your lower dimension is empowered! Continue reading “The lower dimensions of you are nothing but rejected parts of your higher dimensions. A blind person until he gains his vision must have Shraddha, authenticity and lie on the operating table. He needs to allow the doctor to work on him as per doctor’s expectation on him.

Next Kṛṣṇa makes an important point. Kṛṣṇa says: Those persons who execute their duties according to My injunctions and who follow this teaching faithfully with authenticity, without envy,

ye me matam idaṁ nityam anutiṣṭhanti mānavāḥ I

śraddhāvanto ‘nasūyanto mucyante ‘pi karmabhiḥ II 3.31

Here you need to understand two things. He says, ‘according to My instructions, My words, ye me matam idaṁ nityam’. It means when you enter into your being, whatever your being says is Kṛṣṇa’s words. When He says My instructions, He means the instructions from the ātman, the being.

Your life is going smoothly in spite of you, not because of you! Continue reading “A blind person until he gains his vision must have Shraddha, authenticity and lie on the operating table. He needs to allow the doctor to work on him as per doctor’s expectation on him.”

Only when you trust Existence is taking care of you every moment you will be completely detached and only then, you will be completely involved.

Our Eastern Masters have declared again and again, ‘You are bliss. You are love. You are eternal bliss itself.’ When you are bliss itself, what more can you ask for? When you understand and experience this truth, you are enough unto yourself; you are completely satisfied. Nothing exists for you to achieve because you are already the ultimate you can achieve!

Existence has provided, is providing and will provide for each and every one of your needs. Your suffering, your struggle, your incompletion is only because you don’t trust that you are being provided all that you need; because you carry a deep self-doubt and consider yourself separate from Existence, who you think is your enemy.

As of now, you are running behind something out of greed, thinking you will have bliss when you possess it. Either you are running behind something out of greed or you are running away from something out of fear. You are afraid something will take away your joy, your life. Both running towards something and running away from something become irrelevant when you understand you are a part of this loving Existence, taking care of you every moment. Life is like a river. If you place your hands in the river and keep them open, the river will always be there in your hands. But if you try to hold it, you will have only empty hands!

Please be very clear, again and again Kṛṣṇa declares:

karmendriyāṇi saṁyamya ya āste manasā smaran I

indriyārthān vimūḍhātmā mithyācāraḥ sa ucyate II 3.6

If you can’t create completion in your inner space, even if you control your body or your senses, you are just a hypocrite. Your life will not be a complete, blissful life. Not only will it not be a spiritual life, it will not even be life! The meaning of living is bliss, but there is no purpose. The more you think about purposes, the more worries you will create; the more will you try to squeeze the most out of life. But life is much more intelligent than you. When you try to squeeze the maximum out of life, it just slips through your fingers. Continue reading “Life is like a river. Working out of overflowing energy, overflowing compassion, and the overflowing feeling of responsibility for everything, is what makes a life spiritual

I always tell people, ‘Do not think you have a certain amount of energy and you will work according to that energy. No. Whatever work and responsibility you take up, the energy starts expressing accordingly. You will have energy according to the responsibilities which you take up. Whatever responsibility you take upon yourself, you will see that your inner space expands to that extent and energy flows through you!’  If you feel responsible for whatever is happening around you, you suddenly become a leader. You start transforming your life and others’ lives.

Responsibility is one of the ways to consciously grow.

You only need to do two things: trust that life is good and know that you can expand to the responsibilities that you take up. Another thing, when that expansion happens, just hold on and have patience during the transformation process. Patience during the transformation process is what I call tapas or penance. There is a beautiful phrase of the teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba : ‘Shraddha, Saburi’ – trust and patience. This is the essence of life. The first statement of Eeshavaasya Upanishad is not only the Truth but also a Technique!

Listen! This first statement, I can tell you, it is just a shock! It is so inclusive and so conclusive! That is why I am telling you, it can be applied immediately as a technique, and it will be realized as a truth any moment by you, understand? All these great truths, sometimes they are truth, but cannot be applied as techniques. Sometimes they are techniques, but cannot be taken as truth. When there is a gap…….

Yesterday I explained some of the statements, like Ramana Maharshi is saying, ‘Nothing will happen without His grace. Only what He wants will happen.’ See, this is a powerful technique if you practice it honestly with integrity; but, I have seen many people exploiting it. Many of these so-called religions people, they will do all the mistake and say, ‘Only by God’s will everything happens. Everything happens, finally, by His will.’

One fellow came to me. He said, ‘I am stuck in poverty. Please bless me. Somehow help me to get out of this poverty.’

I asked him, ‘What is the reason why this poverty happened?’

‘Oh, I have fourteen kids.’

I asked him, ‘You could have been a little intelligent.’

He says, ‘What can I do? God gave!’

No, I just looked at him. I did not ask him any further questions! Now how I am looking at you guys, same way I looked at him. He understood!

I didn’t ask him verbally, ‘Did God come and do everything?’ But he understood! Continue reading “The first statement of Eeshavaasya Upanishad is not only the Truth but also a Technique!”
