Only an enlightened person who is a king, or a king who is an enlightened person, can know the totality of spirituality.

You need to understand that Kṛṣṇa is just thirty-two years old when He makes this statement! Physically His body is only thirty-two years old. But He says, ‘I gave this imperishable knowledge to Sūrya, the Sun god – imaṁ vivasvate yogaṁ proktavān aham avyayam (4.1).’ Of course, this is very difficult to understand! With logic, you cannot understand this statement. With ordinary logic, which you use in your daily life, you cannot make any meaning out of this statement. In the next statement He says: ‘The supreme science, this yoga as it was, appears to have been lost in course of time.’ Continue reading “Only an enlightened person who is a king, or a king who is an enlightened person, can know the totality of spirituality.”

What is going on with Yoga?

Swamiji opens up about Yoga and shares the things you have never been told about yoga.

Yoga did not originate from Patanjali, as many people think.

Patanjali is the organizer, not originator. With all my respect to Patanjali, at least 50.000 years before Patanjali, a being walked on the earth assuming the human form, just like all of us, Adi Guru Sadashiva, is the founder of the original yoga system. There is enough detailed description, including yoga postures and breathing methods, written directly by Sadashiva. Knowing the original source and original author is very important for keeping the purity of a tradition or knowledge branch. Knowing the originator, founding father, his intentions, revelations, knowledge about that is too important. Any knowledge branch will be only complete if intentions of author are revealed to the person studying.

Second, which you have never been told, which you need to be aware. Always, as per original source, any practice you are asked to do …, original sources are available. Please understand, people who try to establish themselves as a branch of yoga have messed up yoga. Continue reading “What is going on with Yoga?”

Do you have a small mind which finds problem for every solution or a larger vision which finds solution for every problem ?

Understand,

Mahadeva’s silence is Upanishads. His words are Agamas.

When He breathed in silence, what reverberated in the inner space of the Rishis is Upanishads. When He opened His mouth, started explaining, that became Agama. Now, you are going to listen, Veda Agama. He is going to explain what He meant by His breath; what He wanted to convey, what way He wanted the inner-space of the Rishis reverberate. This commentary, or I should say the repetition, should be called as Shuddhādvaita Shaiva Deepika.

From the context of Shuddhādvaita Shaiva, let Upanishads become alive in all of you, in all of us, experientially.

So I will recite the mantras. Please repeat along with me, then I will read out the translation, and let Mahadeva expand on it:

pūṣann-ekarṣe yama sūrya prājāptya |
vyūha raśmin samūha |
tejo yat te rūpaṁ kalyāṇa-tamaṁ
tat te paśyāmi yo’sāvasau puruṣaḥ so’ ham asmi || 16 ||

Listen. I will read out the exact literal translation, and then reveal the sacred secrets. The literal translation is:

O Pūan, Consciousness, who is the nourisher, sustainer of all, the primeval solitary traveller, the disciplining principle of all, is like the bright, effulgent Sun, and is the Lord of entire creation, which is His subject. Please remove all Your rays of this radiating, brilliant golden light, which had blinded me, so that by Your grace, I can have the Divine vision of that most auspicious, graceful, beautiful form of Yours. That which is there, the glorious Sun, is the mirror of the Supreme Being, who is all-pervading, pure Consciousness of the Cosmos. Indeed, I am He. Remembrance of Oneness only is required during death, because all obstacles have already become useless to you

Let me enter into today’s Upanishad verse. 17th verse. Please chant along with me.

vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ  bhasmāntagṁ śarīram |

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara || 17 ||

Please repeat.

au krato smara ktagu smara  krato smara ktagu smara |

vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ  bhasmāntagṁ śarīram |

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara || 17 ||

I can say this is the Hindu way of approaching the Death. Please understand, this verse gives so many unsaid, deeper level of understandings.

vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ  bhasmāntagṁ śarīram |

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara || 17 ||

Let the vital life-energy ‘Wind’ present in the body, now merge into the all-pervading, eternal cosmic life-energy; and now let this gross body along with subtle body, disintegrate into its basic elements and be reduced to the sacred ashes.

Please understand each of these verse are very important. The way Sanatana Dharma approaches Death it’s very clear, the body has nothing useful. It has no use after death, that is why they say, let it disintegrate – bhasmāntagu śareeram. This verse declares about the need of cremation for Hindus. Why cremation in Hinduism? It is this verse shows the way why cremation in Hindu tradition, because – vāyur-anilam amtam atheda. Let the ‘prana’ merge with the Cosmic Prana. bhasmāntagu śareeram – let the body go back to its basic elements, no use! After you leave the body, it has no use; you don’t need this after that. If you want, you will have one more body. You will take a new body, but this itself is not required. Seeking!

I will continue to expand on Ishavasya Upanishad. Please recite along with me.

hiraṇmayena pātreṇa satyasyāpihitaṁ mukhaṁ |
tat tvaṁ pūṣann-apāvṛṇu satya-dharmāya dṛṣṭaye || 15 ||

The Truthful, Effulgent, Eternal Being is the ultimate sustainer, nourisher and protector of all that exists! You are the embodiment of the imperishable Truth and Reality. Your Divine face of Truth is concealed by the blinding dazzling upturned pot, which has golden orb of effulgence. This radiant golden pot conceals your glorious face of Truth from my view. O Pūṣan, O Sun, O Complete One, do reveal Yourself by removing that glaring veil, for I, on the path of Truth, am eager to have your Divine vision.

Understand, there are tons of things you need to understand to understand this verse.

First of all, when the human beings started seeking. Please understand, origin of seeking is from Sarasvati-Ganges civilization. Just recently some of the western historians jointly gave a statement – the Greece civilization is a complete hoax created to put down the Ganges-Saravati civilization, just to distort the history because they do not want the credit to go to Ganges civilization. So the hoax called Greece civilization was invented. Seeking started in Ganges civilization. Understand, when the seeking started how human beings responded, how human beings reacted, how they expressed when the seeking started expressing in them; when the experience of seeking started in them. Continue reading “Seeking!”

Let your body be Fire! Let your mind be Light. Intensely alive! Let your Consciousness be self-effulgent, always radiant!

Those who worship avidyā, the ignorance that veils the true knowledge of truth, Consciousness, enter into blinding darkness, but into greater darkness of ignorance than that enter they who, considering themselves as learned, are engaged in vidyā, the incomplete knowledge acquired for vested interests, characterized by impure truth about Consciousness.

Listen. I will explain step by step. Listen. I will explain the key point in this verse directly: now all of you have done Vaakyartha Sadas for last so many days, what is Consciousness? What is All-pervasiveness? What is without coming and going? What is muscle-less, woundless, all these you would have done. At one point, you will feel stuck, it is natural. At that moment, if you decide, “it’s ok, but I will continue to dig”, you are Living Enlightenment. At that moment, you think, “ah, whatever I learned, with that, let me make whatever I need in life, like comforts, name and fame, who knows, leave it,” then, that is avidya.

When your brain associates itself with Consciousness as That itself, it will start cognizing, taking actions, decisions, everything based on That. Literally your whole brain will lit up; your whole heart will lit up; your whole body will lit up! Maybe that is why it is called Enlightenment! The whole thing will be lit up! Continue reading “Let your body be Fire! Let your mind be Light. Intensely alive! Let your Consciousness be self-effulgent, always radiant!”

You are untouched by incompletions, that is the truth!

Saparyaka Chukram Akayam Avranam Asnabeeram Suthamabhabaveedam Kavir Manishi Paribhuh Swayambhur Yatha Tatha YaTho Than Vyadadas Chashwateebya Samabhyaha

I can say in this verse the Upanishadic Rishi is exploding. He just wants to finish it off whatever he wants to say about consciousness. It is like he feels he can’t describe, he can’t spell it out.

Actually whenever you feel you can’t spell it out you can’t describe, you go on repeating the same line ten times. ‘ Oh you know that is that that, that is that that, that is that that.’ When you feel words are not enough you will be repeating the same words which is not enough again and again. You will be repeating the same word again and again. Continue reading “You are untouched by incompletions, that is the truth!”

Bharata Desha was ideologically centred, economically independent! It was such a powerful, beautiful, unimaginable, inimitable system!

I will continue to expand on the truths I was revealing about “desha” (“देश” ) and “nation”.

Understand, “desha”, the very concept of “desha” is from the truth of the Vedic Tradition:

|| अन्नम् बहु कुर्वीत ||

“Annam Bahu Kurveetha”.

Listen! अन्नम् बहु कुर्वीत (“Annam Bahu Kurveetha”); means, “Let us produce food in large quantities”.

Producing not just food, but everything in large quantity, and making it available to everyone as easily as possible is “desha”.

“Nation” means, even the natural things, making it as complicated as possible, and not letting the common-man have access to it, through this claiming your superiority.

Understand, there is a big difference. In original Vedic Civilization, the concept of “desha” is: “Produce as much as you can and exchange it”. It was not that in Vedic Civilization we did not have business. We had! But there was never a low value for shoes and high value for knowledge, understand? It is the modern civilization which is really caste-oriented. The moment you put low value for shoes and high value for food or knowledge, you have already made a difference between Brahmana and Shudra! There was never valuation between shoes and knowledge. The man who produces shoes, produces in large quantity, and makes it available to his community. The man who makes knowedge, makes it available for everyone. Don’t ever spread the lie that Shudras were not allowed, did not have access to education. No! No! Continue reading “Bharata Desha was ideologically centred, economically independent! It was such a powerful, beautiful, unimaginable, inimitable system!”

First, foremost, and final words given to the universe from the Universe, given to humanity from the Cosmos

Listen! This is the first and foremost, and final word! Upanishads are not like Science, every day developing. For example, today a scientist will come and declare something as truth. Everyone will agree. That will be considered as truth. People will make their life’s decisions, align everything based on that truth. In ten years, another scientist will come and prove that whole thing as false and declare something else as truth. Then people will align their lives to that. And then, after five years, somebody else will come and declare that as a lie and prove something else as truth. Understand, if the truth is going to be changing tomorrow, it is not truth even today. Upanishads are not like science which is evolving or changing. It is like a scientist carries a lantern in a thick forest and tells the truths about the forest to the world, ‘There are ten trees, two snakes, and….dark.’ When you walk further, ‘No, no, the forest is not just ten trees and two snakes; it is more than twenty-five trees, and two elephants.’ When you walk further, ‘No, no, no, no, no, it is not even twenty-five trees. Trees, trees, trees! Any side we turn the lantern, it is trees, trees, trees all around, and different types of animals!’ This is what is Science! But, Upanishads are a Rishi sitting and seeing the whole forest in a flash of lightning and describing it! Understand, the lantern descriptions will always change; but the Rishi sitting in the peak of the hill, seeing the whole thing in one flash of lightning, and penning it down, is Upanishads! Understand the difference between these two. Upanishads are the first, foremost, and final word on truth! First, foremost, and final word on truth!

Nothing, nothing like Upanishads declare all the truths in so close a way to the heart, in such a closer way to the heart. Such a beautiful way to live! User-friendly! Continue reading “First, foremost, and final words given to the universe from the Universe, given to humanity from the Cosmos”

Whatever way you perceive you in your inner image, you will exactly attract those same people around you.

The science of Sri Vidya says each of those lotus petal, actually 16 lotus petal, then 8, then 43 triangles, then bindu; and below that 6 lotus petals, and 3 square lines. Now each of those energies revealing the ideal they represent; the satyas they represent. Maybe once the energizing process is over, when we connect everyday satsang and the whole Sri Chakra, we will know clearly which Devi represents which great Truth, Advaitha Satya, It is one of the greatest and most exciting Truth, because such powerful revelation, I was so excited, Listen! All of us are always in the space of Advaitha, whether you are completely unaware, unconscious, or you are in the peak of realization! Please listen. The practical implications of this Satya need to be understood.

See, if your inner space is in the mode of self-denial, you will have exactly the friends, family, people with self-denial only falling in your eyes, senses, perception. If you are in the mood of Completion, you will have only the people want to do Completion falling in your perception. Listen!

So, whether you are in the state of a devil, demon, bhoota, preta, rakshasa, mooni, kinnar, gandarava, aksha, rakshasa, rishi, whatever space you are in you are in Advaitha! So that can never be lost! If you are in the space of completely denying you, you will exactly perceive only those people who are also in self denial and denying you; you will be denying them, they will be denying you, both of you will be having a great Indian mother in law, daughter in law, relationship. Then, if you decide to Complete, suddenly everyone around you will be struggling towards Completion.

Understand, when you allow the higher intelligence of you to pull you up, raise you constantly, suddenly you will perceive Guru happening in your life, because your own part of you, which is constantly pulling you up, only allows the Guru to happen in your life and continue to exist in your life. Only then you perceive Guru in your life. If you are in the level of, “oh, he has stolen my 200 rupee, he may steal my plastic bucket,” you will only have only the people around you, in your perception,in your life style you will only have the people, who will steal your mug, jug, the cloth you kept without using, or the shampoo packet you hid under your pillow, you will exactly have only this kind of people in your perception. And, when you start perceiving, “oh, I will defame this fellow, I will destroy his identity,” you will see exactly that kind of people around you, who will be defaming you, and trying to destroy your identity.

Understand, listen, now I have to answer one of your important doubt: one of the devotee who came to see me was asking, “Swamiji, I am asking really, why did You come down to live with human beings?” I told her, “Relax, I am not living with you guys. I still have in My perception Nandi, Bhringi, Patanjali, Aghastiar, Rishis, Devaganas, Siddhaganas, only they are in My perception; I am around them only!” I allow the people with royal perception also to play with Me and evolve. Arunachala allows people to come up, Kailasha allows people to come up, but that itself does not come down to you! Kailasa doesn’t come down to your level, but it gives way for you to come up to Kailasa! I allow people to perceive Me from their perceptions, also. Continue reading “Whatever way you perceive you in your inner image, you will exactly attract those same people around you.”
