A leader with the status remains only as a slave. A leader with the state takes the responsibility to create more and more responsible leaders.

Kṛṣṇa talks about the practical aspects of why a leader needs to act in a responsible manner. With responsibility, you experience the space of leadership consciousness, Īśvaratva.

Responsibility is thinking, feeling, acting, responding and cognizing from the truth that you are the Source of everything!

There is a difference between the state of a leader and the status of a leader. Most of us want to attain the status of a leader but not the state. When you achieve the status of the leader, it is ego-fulfilling and you feel great. Some politicians are good examples for this. They exert the power of their position on others without even feeling responsible. They were a little more dominating and convincing than the people whom they were trying to dominate, that’s all. It is not that they were more intelligent or more capable. Continue reading “A leader with the status remains only as a slave. When many people take the responsibility to bring integrity and authenticity to their thinking and actions, the individual consciousness aligns and expands to affect the collective consciousness

Our body-mind is highly influenced by our thoughts and words. The words you constantly repeat to yourself, have to be enriching you, inspiring you, exciting you and enlightening you. The words you give to you are āhara (food), what you consume to create life in you.

Bliss attracts fortune.

You may wonder, ‘Fortune can bring us bliss but how can bliss bring us fortune?

In India, when any new activity is started, be it a business or construction or education, the first thing that we do is sit down and create the space for a few moments; we close our eyes and remain in a meditative mood. We try to bring about some kind of an energy play or transformation inside us. Of course, over the years, this has become a prayer and a ritual. That is a different issue. But the first thing that we do is sit down and try to kindle the energy flow, the space of completion in us. All that exists is energy, declares the first line of Ishavasya Upanishad!

What is this world made up of?

Our five senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch are our gateways to perceiving this world. They tell us that this world is made up of matter or objects in various forms, shapes, colors and qualities. We see ourselves living in a three dimensional world fundamentally made up of the five basic elements – earth, water, fire, air and space. We see all the objects in this world undergoing change with time. They all undergo creation, sustenance and dissolution with the passage of time.

Classical physics tells us that matter is governed by the laws of physics like the three laws of motion, the law of gravity, the laws of fluid dynamics and so on. All objects are considered to be made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which in turn are made of three types of particles – protons, neutrons and electrons. We learned all these fundamental things in school. But according to modern science, the world is not fundamentally made up of matter. The fundamental particles are not protons, neutrons and electrons. Continue reading “All that exists is energy, declares the first line of Ishavasya Upanishad!”

Leadership is not a quality, but an experience that can radiate from an individual who has experienced personal growth and transformation

When we become responsible for others, we no longer are focused on us. We move towards serving other people. Serving other people is leadership.Pandering to one’s own needs without a care about others is absence of leadership.

There are so many books these days about leadership and how it is an important part of making an organization successful. There are so many so-called leadership gurus who teach and train people in organizations to ‘develop’ leadership. Yet when we look at all organizations, whether they are doing business to make a profit, or in government service or in the area of social services, true leaders are rare. If you look at any organization you will find that less than 1% tends to become the so-called leaders in the organization. If you look at business organizations, we can say that there are probably only 1% of these organizations that can claim to be true leaders in their fields who are excelling in all areas of their business – making a profit, delivering good products and services, providing service to society, providing satisfaction to their employees, etc. So we can say, true leaders are actually 1% of the 1% of successful business organizations. It means just 0.01% of the overall working population actually has true leadership qualities in them! We can say the same about organizations in other fields. This is what I mean when I say true leaders are rare.

Everyone can become a leader and the quality of leadership arises from one’s ability to take responsibility for a particular organization, a situation or a particular group.

Let us now try and understand why this is the case. Continue reading “Leadership is not a quality, but an experience that can radiate from an individual who has experienced personal growth and transformation”

We are not able to face death because we are not able to face the ever-changing nature of life!

             Once, in USA, a young lady asked the great Indian monk Swami Vivekananda, ‘What is life?’ Swami Vivekananda said, ‘Come with me to India. I will teach you.’ She asked, ‘What will you teach me?’   He said, ‘I will teach you how to die.’

The question is about life but the answer is about death! It seems strange! What Swami Vivekananda is saying is that if you know the secret of death, the quality of your life will be different. Your very understanding and attitude towards everything will change.

We can actually use our lives to prepare for death. We do not have to wait for the pain of seeing someone’s death or the shock of being faced with a critical illness to force us to look into the meaning of life.

If you know how to die, you know how to live. Living and leaving are two sides of the same thing.

Death is not a mere incident at the end of your life. It is a profound knowing. If you know how to die, you know how to live. Living and leaving are two sides of the same thing. Your life will be totally different once you understand death.

More and more your inner space gets into Completion, more and more, you will catch the sacred secrets about the Source, Cosmos!

Kena Upanishad. Brief technical introduction, the word ‘kena ‘means ‘whom’. The Upanishad appears as the 9th chapter of the Talavakara Brahmana of the Sāma Veda, and also known Talavakara Upanishad or Jaimini Brahmana. 35 verses and Shanti Mantra. Its one of the very important Upanishad and per the Muktikopanishad, it’s the second Upanishad in the whole order. Upanishad is also called, known as Talavakara Upanishad.

KENA means, exactly the word means ‘whom’, ‘by whom – keneṣitaṁ – by whom willed or directed’ – directing the enquiry of the Truth to its very Source, is the seed of Kenopanishad. Please understand, this Upanishad directs your seeking to the Source. I will start with the Shanti Mantra [peace invocation chant], then I will introduce the Upanishad. Please chant along with Me.

auṃ āpyāyantu mamāṇgāni |

Listen. The verse actually is – mamāṇgāni; paathabheda is māmāṇgāni – means the way I heard from My Guru, His paathabedha. The paathabheda is māmāṇgāni, the ‘ma’ plus not full ‘aa’ half  ‘a’.

auṃ āpyāyantu mamāṇgāni vākprāṇaścakśuḥ
śrotram-athobalam-indriyāṇi ca sarvāṇi |

Please understand, the original mantra is – sarvāṇi; paathabheda is ‘sarvāuṇi’ – thehalf ‘u’ is added – ‘sarvāuṇi’.

sarvaṁ brahmopniṣadam mā’ham brahma nirākuryām mā mā brahma nirākarod-anirākaraṇamstva-nirākaraṇam me’stu |

tadātmani nirate ya upaniṣatsu dharmāste mayi santu te mayi santu ||

auṁ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ ||

Understand the subject matter of the Kenopanishad. Now that is the important thing.

The essence of Isavaysa Upanishad is Seeking.

The essence of Kenopanishad is Seeking into the very Source, not just WHO AM I, BY WHOM AM I?

Understand, WHO AM I starts and ends inside your body. BY WHOM AM I, starts and ends in Cosmos. There is a big difference between – WHO AM I, BY WHOM AM I?

Enquiring into you is Seeking.
Enquiring into the Source is Seeking the very Source.

If you can perceive motherliness from your god or guru and radiate that motherliness to the people around you, you have succeeded in game of completion!

Please understand, first and foremost relationship is Mother. Ability to learn, even idea to relate starts with Mother. How to relate starts with mother. Dharma declaring its authority by itself is Upanishads

The Upanishadic rishis are declaring, Upanishads are declaring….. I should not even use the word “Upanishadic rishis are declaring”. No! “Upanishads are declaring”! Dharma declares its authority by itself is Upanishads. Without the help of any author, or the authority of any author! Author not only brings authenticity, he brings authority also. Here, Dharma does not need authenticity or authority from anyone else. The person who lends authenticity, naturally lends authority also. When he lends authenticity, he has authority. Upanishads don’t need anybody to authenticate it. So, nobody has authority over it. That is why “Apourushya” – “no author”! It … Continue reading Dharma declaring its authority by itself is Upanishads

The only thing you need in the whole life is stamina to stand up till you see the victory, nothing else!

Om Poornamadhah Poornamidham Poornaath Poornam Udhachyathey |
Poornasya Poornamaadhaaya Poornamevaavasishyathey ||
|| Om Shanthi Shanthi Shanthih ||

I can see clearly, when these mantras were uttered the very first time to the Planet Earth, the path for the civilization was getting delivered, the unadulterated, undiluted purpose for the civilization, human civilization was getting delivered. The whole ambience charged with peace – understand, I am using the word “charged with peace”; means, vibrant peace, vibrant silence; not the silence of the graveyard, but the silence of Unclutching, the silence of Completion – I can see clearly, in the vibrant presence of Mahadeva, all the rishis being raised and vibrating in the same frequency of Mahadeva; not just enlightened, but entangled with Mahadeva; in that entanglement, uttering these great verses. Understand, the whole purpose is Completion.

All your incompletions may look factual. See, I am not insensitive to your problem of diseases or unable to handle your desire or fear, or unable to handle your enemies, or unable to handle the powerlessness, whatever may be, I am not insensitive to it. It may be factual, but, I am telling you, it cannot be real! It may be factual, but it can never be real! Let your cognition function constantly based on “real”. Let you think, act, decide, respond, react, based on “real”, “real”.

Your incompletions may be factual, but can never be real. You understanding “Completion is Completion is Completion”, makes you recover quickly even from the so-called factual incompletions, I am telling you. When you understand and cognize it is Completion in Completion in the space of Completion…… And I wanted to tell you one truth:

Whenever I told anybody the ultimate truths that your consciousness is Completion, joy, love, fulfillment, I never saw one ray of doubt in any of them, please understand! I have to reveal this truth to you. Your SDHD (Self-Doubt, Self-Hatred, Self-Denial) creates only superficial graphs in you; they don’t go to the core of you. Your core listens to me!

ZERO is not ‘NOTHINGNESS’; ZERO is ‘INFINITY’.

I just can’t control my celebrative mood when I read even one verse of Upanishad. What a beauty. Beauty in words! Grace in organizing the sounds! Never there was so much of beauty expressed in words or the grace organized in sounds!

पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदम् पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते |
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ||

Poornamadhah Poornamidham Poornaath Poornam Udhachyathey |
Poornasya Poornamaadhaaya Poornamevaavasishyathey ||

Just by repeating this one line, I can give up my body. Nothing else is required. Nothing else is required. This one verse was made available to me in my human body is enough; this human body has achieved what it needs to achieve. This one sacred sentiment, this one sacred truth is revealed to me is enough; this human body is useful, it is used more than it can be used. Now it has reached its fulfillment. Anything further, if it is alive, it is a bonus. The cognition, when that gets centered on consciousness, life is love, laughter, joy, and life itself.

Let us now understand how to make our cognition centered on this sacred truth:

‘The Whole comes from Whole and be established in the Whole and gets back to Whole. And even during this whole process, it remains as Whole.’ Continue reading “ZERO is not ‘NOTHINGNESS’; ZERO is ‘INFINITY’.”

Upanishads are Existence’s songs about its existence

Any idea, any truth, any concept, any theology, the more the person is present in that theology, the more it is useful only for him, not for the whole world, not for the Whole, not for the humanity or society or the whole universe.  Less the individual is present, more the concept, the idea, the theory, the philosophy is useful for humanity, society, for the Whole.  Less the part is present, more useful for the Whole.  More the part is present, less useful for the Whole.  Understand, less the individual is present, more the truths, concepts, ideas, are useful to the whole humanity, society, and the universe.  More it is universal, less individual.  More individual, less universal.  The individual’s influence should only be for the sake of enriching, never for the sake of establishing the person’s identity.

I tell you, history is always written by the people who won the wars.  That is why it is never factual, “as it happened”.  No!  No history is factual.  Only when the author’s individual vested interests, fear and greed to certain ideologies disappear, only then the history becomes factual, whole, useful for the whole universe and the whole humanity, whole society.  History written by the people who do not have any vested interests only is called “Puranas”.  Puranas are more factual than any history written by the people with vested interests.  Don’t read any book where the author is heavily present.  If the author has disappeared within him and he doesn’t have any vested interests, fear or greed for an ideology, then READ THAT PERSON, not just his books!  Read that person’s very life!  Be around him and learn; you will catch the truth!

Apourushyathwa!  Even if the author wants to establish his name, there is a corruption, there is a reason, there is a vested interest, there is a fear or greed.  Sometimes authors do not put their name, but they put some popular person’s name, because they wanted that popular identity to protect their work.  That is why so many works are attributed to Adi Shankara.  Only when the individual is absent, his personal vested interests, fear and greed disappear, dissolve, he becomes a pure channel for Existence to sing its own existence.  Upanishads are Existence’s songs about its existence.  Existence’s songs about its existence!  Continue reading “Upanishads are Existence’s songs about its existence”

Apourushya! Authorless !

UPANISHADS! Before explaining a book, we have to explain what it stands for. Before explaining what it stands for, I have to explain who made it stand for that. Before explaining who made it stand for that, I have to explain who wrote it. That is where now the whole thing starts. How can we tell the modern world that something exists, that there is a book which has no author? Profound, extraordinary expressions, truths, realizations, revelations, but no author! Author is dissolved in the authenticity of the truths.

Please understand, whenever a book is written, the truth and the personality who presents the truth, both of them are expressed in that book. That is why I always tell people that all books are biographies of the author. Please understand, whether it is a science or a history or a religion or philosophy, self-development, whatever classification you give, all books you have to basically classify as “Biography”, because, there is no book which does not have the smell, presence, touch of the author, please understand. In the libraries, we should classify first all books as “Biography”. Under the section “Biography”, you can classify as “Biography based on Religion”, “Science based on Religion”, “Mysticism based on Religion”, “Self-help based on Religion”. The more the personal involvement, more it becomes fiction, understand? In a science book, the more the scientist is present, the less the science is present. In a philosophy book, the more the philosopher is present, the less the philosophy is present. In a history book, the more the historian is present, the less the facts and the history, the less the authenticity or the truth of the history is present. When the historians have personal interests, likes, dislikes, history can never be presented to you authentically. In any book, the more the author is present, the less the truth is presented; the more his personal touch, the less the reality.

That is why I always insist that all pharmaceutical companies should be non-profit organizations. Having medical care under the “profit industry” is the most dangerous. Continue reading “Apourushya! Authorless !”
