H.D.H Paramahamsa Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam’s advent on planet earth is to create a new cycle of individual consciousness causing Collective Consciousness to enter the Superconscious zone

Enlightened beings are untouched by the qualities, good or bad that they come in contact with. Their presence is so intense that everybody and everything is touched by the love and compassion that is their very nature.

A story from the life of enlightened master Buddha:

There was a bandit by the name of Angulimala. He used to live in a forest that many people had to cross. He used to ambush the people and rob them of their valuables. Then he would cut off the little finger of the person and make a garland of all the fingers. That is why he was called Angulimala or garland of fingers. Once when traveling, Buddha was about to cross the forest. People warned him about the terrifying Angulimala.

But Buddha was unperturbed and continued walking. Deep inside the forest, Angulimala jumped out of the bushes and shouted threateningly at Buddha, ‘Stand still!’ Buddha stopped and replied, ‘I am still. May you be still.’ Angulimala for the first time in his life was shaken to his very being. Something about Buddha touched him deeply. He could not even force himself to attack Buddha. His hands froze. He just fell at the feet of Buddha crying and begging for forgiveness! The collective consciousness is raised in a much more powerful way when meditation is done as a group!

Much of what is happening around us is the result of all our past actions. At least in this present moment, let us create more and more positive consciousness and energy so that we will avoid the same challenges and calamities in the future. If we get agitated and disturbed, then we will create more violence and negativity in our efforts to try to stop the existing violence. Violence cannot stop violence. Blood cannot wash away blood.

Buddha says beautifully that if we start thinking in the line of ‘an eye for an eye’, the whole world will become blind! If we start working with the logic of ‘an eye for an eye’, then a person from this group will take an eye from a person in the other group, and a person from that group will take an eye from a person in this group. Then the whole world will become blind!

The only thing you can do is start creating more and more positive and peaceful ambience inside your being, and continuously work to create peace and love outside your field. That is the only possible solution.

Give the intelligence to others to make better choices, that is the real help you can give

Realize that all leaders are channels of the collective positivity or negativity created by the masses

First, we have to understand that every major decision taken at the higher level of power and governance is an expression of collective positivity or collective negativity, because it is the mass consciousness or collective consciousness that creates the leaders. So before blaming others like leaders, politicians, or officials, if we can put a little bit of energy towards ourselves and start working to create more positive consciousness in our inner space, we will be doing something really useful.

Peace needs to be brought into the individual’s heart. Then it will radiate like the fragrance of a flower and transform the whole planet earth.

There are two ways to handle anything.

One is just talking about things and the other is actually doing things. If you are interested in just talking about things, then you will blame everybody around you, starting from your neighbor to the politicians, business and world leaders. Blaming and criticizing everybody is not going to be directly useful. Not only that, it will really pull down your own energy. This is one common, but ineffective way of working. An individual’s inner satisfaction, increase in awareness, creativity, and intelligence will automatically lead to global peace, prosperity and harmony.

A beautiful story from the life of Buddha:

Devadatta, a cousin of Buddha, joined Buddha’s order of monks. He was hungry for power and status. He wanted to become the head of the order of monks. But Buddha would not allow such an immature person, who was running after status instead of enlightenment, to lead his mission. So Devadatta harbored jealousy and ill feelings towards Buddha and even made several attempts to kill him.

Once Devadatta persuaded the royal elephant-keepers to release a fierce elephant on to Buddha’s path. The elephant was intoxicated and let loose on the streets where Buddha used to walk regularly. The mad elephant ran wildly. People panicked and fled in all directions. The elephant came upon Buddha.

Buddha kept walking, radiating the same peace and calm even in the face of this danger. His bliss and peace was not at all affected by the threat of the wild elephant. The elephant came rushing towards Buddha in a mad fury.

Once it reached Buddha, it immediately calmed down completely. Its wild nature simply dissolved in Buddha’s enlightened presence. Buddha touched the elephant’s forehead and stroked it gently. Calmed by the patting, the elephant bent on its knees and bowed down to Buddha. The people watching the whole scene were simply shocked! Peace starts from putting starts from putting all your ‘pieces’ together, Integrity!

May all Dharma, the Sacred Truths declared by Upaniṣads be fully manifest and radiate in me, who, am integrated and authentically devoted to knowing the experience of that Truth, Ātmā, the Self.

May they manifest and radiate in me – mayi santu te mayi santu |

The declaration, Shanti Mantra. Actually this verse should be not be translated as ‘peace prayer’, it should be translated as ‘peace declaration.’ Understand. Here nobody is praying to anybody. No God is presupposed. No bargain is in the existence. No business deal is in existence. There will always be some said, unsaid understandings.

If you believe in certain things, certain actions will manifest from you, it’s 100% sure. I have always seen, people who do not commit and take responsibility – I can see very clearly, they make fun of our whole lifestyle. Anybody who believes the lifestyle we live in or Sangha, who loves the lifestyle, who believes the lifestyle, I have always seen, they take the responsibility, they fall in love with the responsibility, and active lifestyle. And I have also seen people cooking up their own reasons not to get involved and not to take responsibility. Starts from varied reasons, they are masters in finding reasons. Starts from headache to my kid is too small. But I have always seen, people who do not take the responsibility, do not get involved, do not love Me or the lifestyle I am teaching. When you love, you can’t keep quiet. When you fall in love with somebody, you will just radiate their lifestyle, their thought current. You will just manifest. When you declare and sit on it, it has to become reality because declaration is the way your Will manifests. Decide to declare peace in your life, not by avoiding the conflicts but by deciding to resolve it!

Actually, Upanishads set the context. Agamas are applied science. Upanishads are like pure science. Agamas are the applied science. Upanishads. Its like a Upanishads define the greatness of Varanasi. Agamas are like GPS to enter into Varanasi and enjoy Varanasi. It is like Upanishads explain the glory through the great principle.

Agamas give you the exact science. Upanishads explain you the glory. Agamas give you the exact science.

I will start with the Shanti Mantra of Kena Upanishad. Please understand, the beauty of Vedic education system. Always education starts with peace, ends with peace because education is the most powerful weapon, either can be used for peace or violence. Understand, education is the most powerful weapon, either can be used for peace or for violence. Vedic tradition insists you becoming rich through education should always be for the peace of the Universe. It should increase the frequency of the peace of the Universe not increase the frequency of the violence in the Universe. I tell you, future wars will not have winners. Future wars will not have winners because we have used education, knowledge to the extreme of violence. We have accumulated enough weapon to demolish not just all the buildings but destroy the very Planet Earth itself for more than 800 times, understand. 800 times we can blow the Planet Earth, so much of weapons are accumulated. Nowaday countries don’t talk about chemical weapons where human beings will be eradicated, just blowing up the planet earth. That’s the latest trend. Understand, the knowledge, education is used for violence nothing will be left out.

Vedic tradition is very clear. The thought current called knowledge should always start with peace and end with peace.

All Upanishads, all the 108 Upanishads has only one similarity. Please understand, all 108 Upanishads does not teach one God, does not teach one philosophy. Sometimes not only they contradict themselves, they are completely opposite to each other. All the 108 Upanishads have only one thing in common; they declare themselves – start with the peace and end with the peace. Other than this, nothing else is in common among all the 108 Upanishads. If you WILL no one can deny it, even God cannot deny it, because your will is bestowed on you by God!

Kena Upanishad’s shanti mantra, I was introducing yesterday’s satsang. Let’s recite the shanti mantra and enter into the understanding.

auṃ āpyāyantu mamāṇgāni vākprāṇaścakśuḥ śrotram-athobalam-indriyāṇi ca sarvāṇi |
sarvaṁ brahmopniṣadam mā’ham brahma nirākuryām mā mā brahma nirākarod-anirākaraṇamstva-nirākaraṇam me’stu |

Two important truths I want you to learn. First, the Vedic way of living, Vedic lifestyle starts with peace, ends with peace. All the knowledge we generated, please understand, we had everything and much more what modern science has produced now. Whether it is jet plane, rocket, missiles, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, we had everything and much more in Vedic age, Vedic era, but we were very clear – it’ll only be for peace, it’ll only be for peace. Understand, we start peace, end with peace; whether it is rituals, ceremonies, teaching, knowledge transmission, everything, everything, knowledge is only for peace.

Only one big crime the modern day Hindus did, they think – peace is important so let’s avoid conflicts. No! By avoiding conflict you will never be in peace. By avoiding conflict, if you try to be in peace, naturally the other forces will push you, push you, push you to the corner till you become non-existent. Avoiding the conflicts is not methodology for peace.Right methodology for peace, facing it, solving it.

Peace is the purpose, that does not mean that we are afraid of conflicts. Peace is the purpose, does not mean that we are afraid of conflicts. Peace is purpose, does not mean we are powerless to handle conflicts. That is one of the biggest crime the modern day Hindus did, trying to avoid conflicts to have peace. That is why modern day Hindus lost their backbone.

Peace is the purpose, but not avoiding the conflict, but by facing and resolving it.
