Shift your exaggeration pattern towards something which can never be exaggerated, God or Guru, because you exaggerate only which you feel as You!

Guru is nothing but the expression of God, demanding you to shift that hope for exaggeration on Divine.

Guru is nothing but the statement given to you by God, ‘Hey, Shift!’ Guru is statement of God.

God is state of Guru. Guru is statement of God. God is state of Guru.

State just gives the statement. State just gives the statement – ‘Shift! You have suffered enough with exaggerations on you. Shift now! I am here to liberate you from this need of exaggeration, to wake you up to the reality which can never be exaggerated, which is too big. You need to experientially see something with “Aaah!” to shift your pattern of exaggeration centered on you to centered on something else. That is when Guru appears and gives you the feeling “Aaaah!” Even after Guru happens in your life, don’t miss that opportunity of “Aaaah!”, that shift. Blessed are those who experience that shift! Because, they wake up! They wake up! They wake up!

If you study the whole Shiva Purana or Leelas of Mahadeva in Madurai, everything, everything is all about just giving you the experience of “Aaaah!”, and shifting your ever-exaggeration pattern from you to him. That is all! That is all! Otherwise, how will you call taking away the two eyes of an hunter, poor fellow, because he believed you, taking away his eyes, how will you call that as love? The Advaitha, please listen, Oneness becomes your reality with the Love Current of Mahadeva. Please understand, when you authentically experience Love Current of Mahadeva, the Oneness you experience will continue to keep you retain the juice of celebrating Mahadeva, understand? Today, I wanted to expand on some of the most subtle points.

यस्मिन् सर्वाणि भूतान्यात्मैवाभूद् विजानतः ।
तत्र को मॊहः कः शॊक एकत्वमनुपश्यतः ॥
Yasmin SarvaaNi Bhoothaani Aathmaivaabhoodh Vijaanathaha |
Tathra Ko Mohaha Kah Shoka Ekathvam Anupashyathaha ||

“In one who has cognized the reality, all existing beings become the very Self. Then what delusion, what sorrow of incompletion can there be for that Seer living in the space of Oneness, Living Advaitha?”

Listen! The Love Current of Mahadeva leads you to Oneness experience. After that, after the experience of Oneness, the way you live will be the Love Current of Mahadeva, understand? Love is not just a path for experiencing Oneness. After experience the Oneness, the utility value of life itself is Love. If you start practicing love now, meditating on Love Current of Mahadeva, you will experience Oneness, and after experiencing Oneness, the way you operate, the way you cognize, the way you move, the way you live, the way you exist, the whole thing will be same Love in a different dimension.

Always there is a conflict between Advaithis and Bhakthas. Always Advaithis declare these Bhakthas as “Leelavaadhis”: ‘All the time talking about devotion, devotion; they never experience the Oneness.’ And, always these Bhakthas go on criticizing these Advaithis as “Mayavaadhis”, delusionists: ‘They don’t celebrate devotion and love.’ And there is also a subtle deep fear that if you experience Oneness, you may lose the devotion; it may all become all “Me”, “Me”, “Me”, “Me”. From the side of devotees, they feel, ‘Oh, if we experience Oneness, it will all become “Me”, “Me”, “Me”. Devotion will be lost.’ From the Advaithis, ‘Oh, if I experience devotion, that is all! The state I am in, I may lose it! I will fall into duality!’ It is such a stupid misunderstanding! Mahadeva revealed Upanishads to Ramachandra Prabhu, Lakshmana and Sita under the Banyan Tree in Bidadi Nithyanandeshwara Temple

This number 18 very significant in Vedic tradition – Bhagavad Gita 18 chapter, Mahabharat War 18 days, all the major temples, whether it is Sabarimala, Madurai Kallazhagar temple or the Engoi Mallai  – always 18 steps and the 18 akroni Sena fought the Mahabharat war. 18 is very significant number, but all 18s came after this Isavasya Upanishad’s 18 verses. This is the first 18; because, please understand, Ishavasya Upanishad is the first Upanishad.

Rama, listen, Rama when He lived in Ramanagaram, received all the 108 Upanishads at a time from Mahadeva under our Banyan Tree, and after the victory when He came back, He brought, see after the victory and He came back, he had Pattabhishekam and he brought Hanuman and showed all the places He traveled. They had a vacation tour. At that time, Hanuman also came to this place, and then again sitting in Ramanagaram, that hill, Rama put the whole 108 Upanishads names together, what He received from Mahadeva and repeated to Hanuman, that is Muktikopanishad.

Remembrance of Oneness only is required during death, because all obstacles have already become useless to you

Let me enter into today’s Upanishad verse. 17th verse. Please chant along with me.

vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ  bhasmāntagṁ śarīram |

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara || 17 ||

Please repeat.

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara |

 vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ  bhasmāntagṁ śarīram |

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara || 17 ||

I can say this is the Hindu way of approaching the Death. Please understand, this verse gives so many unsaid, deeper level of understandings.

vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ  bhasmāntagṁ śarīram |

auṁ krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara  krato smara kṛtaguṁ smara || 17 ||

Let the vital life-energy ‘Wind’ present in the body, now merge into the all-pervading, eternal cosmic life-energy; and now let this gross body along with subtle body, disintegrate into its basic elements and be reduced to the sacred ashes.

Please understand each of these verse are very important. The way Sanatana Dharma approaches Death it’s very clear, the body has nothing useful. It has no use after death, that is why they say, let it disintegrate – bhasmāntaguṁ śareeram. This verse declares about the need of cremation for Hindus. Why cremation in Hinduism? It is this verse shows the way why cremation in Hindu tradition, because – vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ. Let the ‘prana’ merge with the Cosmic Prana. bhasmāntaguṁ śareeram – let the body go back to its basic elements, no use! After you leave the body, it has no use; you don’t need this after that. If you want, you will have one more body. You will take a new body, but this itself is not required. Let my breathing pattern become Cosmic breathing pattern and continue to be my breathing pattern

This verse, which says, vāyur-anilam amṛtam athedaṁ – means let my breathing pattern dissolve into the Cosmic breathing pattern.

Actually I wanted you to practice I wanted all of you to practice this, especially when you fall asleep—decide anyhow now I am going to fall asleep. I can’t keep my inner image, my outer image, other’s image, life image, all up, alive. Actually all you guys are holding on to your outer-image like flex board only, it is so heavy, and you go ahhh, ahhh, AHHHHH! The other’s expectations are like a wind blowing on it…. [Swamiji makes pounding sound].. this flex board is dancing, and you say, “no, I am holding.” When you fall asleep you know you can’t hold on to it anymore. So, decide, now nothing can be done, “I am going to fall asleep.” Instead of holding on or planning, “ how I will hold on the outer image face all the expectations of other’s image, the wind, snow fall, cyclone, what you call, tornado”; actually, expectation from your girlfriend is wind, once she becomes your wife, expectation from her is tornado, once you have a kid, expectation from her is wind, tornado, forest fire, snow fall, all put together and something more, you imagine. It is not only about between husband and wife even in the office.. whole day you go on planning to hold on to that flex board, anyhow night you can’t hold on. You are going to fall asleep.

Decide, understand, every night if you make a decision, consciously, within 21 days it can become your bio-memory your cognition. Just 21 days decide, I don’t want anything else — let my breathing pattern become Cosmic pattern. Morning when you wake up decide, let the Cosmic breathing pattern continue to be my breathing pattern, that’s all. Decide consciously. Never be a beggar even in front of God because anything makes you beggar is not worthy to be entertained in your life!

At the age of 10, in Arunachaleshwara temple in the shrine, Sannidhi of Devi – Unnamalai Amman. I was standing in one corner, suddenly I saw the cosmic geometrical representation. That time I did not know the word, only now, later on I came to know, it is Sri Yantra in the golden, shining, absolute, energy light form. And then, Devi appeared in this very form She is gracing now with Lakshmi and Saraswati. When I had darshan I saw only Devi Bhuvaneshwari. Here she is gracing with Lakshmi and Saraswati. There, when I had darshan, I saw Her only this form – the Ankusha and Pasha and Abhaya and Varada. It’s just too much, too much. Slowly that very geometry and that form, both disappeared into My inner-space. Then I went back to home, carved the deity as I experienced in the stone, carved the Devi, the same way I saw in stone and carved that Sri Chakra the same way I saw in copper plate. This happened. You can see the yantra I carved after the darshan at the age of 10 and this is the deity of the Devi I carved a the age of 10. Actually this happened during Navaratri only. I do not know whether it happened exactly on the 4th day and 5th day and all that. But during the Navaratri time. 

Let me enter into the Upanishad. Ishavasya Upanishad. I was expanding continuously. Today I will continue to expand on 16th verse. Recite along with me.

pūṣann-ekarṣe yama sūrya prājāptya।  vyūha raśmin samūha।

Luxurious lifestyle takes away the strength of your body and mind to reinvent itself with the flow of life

I’ll continue to expand on Kathopanishad. Yesterday I was speaking about the story Vajashravas, King who is feeling insecured and was asked to do a fire ritual from the Vedas, but started doing without understanding the context his son Nachiketa questions. This is the story. I will now try to expand the sacred secrets hidden in this story.

The first thing: king getting into the mental setup of business or bargain, shows the identity crisis happened to him, please understand. The king is the person or at least he is expected to be a person—either lives with powerfulness as a giver, giver, giver or collapses and disappears from us. Please understand, king is not expected to be eternal, but he is expected to be powerful, as long as he is there as king. He can’t afford to get into the mental set up of a Vaishya, businessman.

Same way, a person of knowledge he is not expected to be a giver, nobody expects a person of knowledge to be doing charity, but he is expected of a high standard of Consciousness, highest standard of Consciousness. He is expected to constantly share the spiritual knowledge — live, remember, share the spiritual knowledge. He can’t afford to commit even a small mistake. King in the war can kill even those few innocent people who are not directly involved in the war. He won’t incur a big sin because when there is a war naturally there will be innocent deaths, but a person of knowledge, a Brahman cannot even kill an ant. Even an ant cannot be killed by him. So from each persons the anyakara of society, what society expects, the role they need to fulfill in the society is different. So the identity collapse. Inauthenticity entering into the identity, the identity crisis is what Gita describes as jāti naśta, intermingling of castes, getting impure.

Please understand, because the ancient time the jāti was based on the mental set-up, not just based on your birth. Vishvamitra by jāti is a Kṣatriya [warrior], but he is always remembered as the highest Brahmana. He is respected as Brahmarishi by Vashistha. Understand, each one need to maintain their role. When Guru ordains, He sustains!

Guru Purnima 2015 message—Guru Bhakti. Understand, understand this word – Guru Bhakti. It is not just putting few flowers in His feet, or doing some small puja, of course, that is a symbolic representation, but the real Guru Bhakti, understand, being authentic to Guru. 

Let me explain that word – Guru Bhakti, being authentic to Guru. Look into your inner image, see how much of your inner image is influenced by Guru’s presence in your life. If you have the right understanding and context, so much of activism will be there in you.

anyad evāhur vidyayā-anyad āhur avidyayā |
iti śuśruma dhīrāṇaṁ ye nastad vicacakṣire || 10 ||

It is said that by vidya, the knowledge cognized from the right context of grasping the truth, Consciousness, and the superficial knowledge acquired from the wrong context of grabbing without cognizing the subtle truth certainly a different result is achieved. Similarly it is said that by Avidyā, the authentic actions and the ignorant actions, a very different result is achieved. Thus have we listened from those wise beings who have explained that absolute principle to us.

Essence. The sacred secret, the key truth from this verse—the context you set for you, please understand, the context you set for you before entering into action or life is more important than your decision of entering or not entering into life or what you do or don’t do in life.

Listen once more.

The context you set before entering into life is more important than what you do or don’t do in your life. Context, if you set the context of Bhakti, your travel becomes pilgrimage, food becomes prasada, water becomes tīrtha, ash becomes bhasma, music becomes kirtan. Man becomes human. Understand, setting the context is much more important than the action, commission, or omission of acts, doing something or not doing something. Wow, how can I describe Varanasi!

Varanasi, Anandavana, the place of Annapurni. Only yesterday I realised the power of Annapurni’s energy field. Please understand, it is not only that she gives food, the moment you enter this space your metabolism just goes up. That is the power of the Annapurna’s energy field. Just yesterday night, I discovered it, why I feel so blissful. See, the bliss of enlightenment is always there, why I feel so blissful when I enter Varanasi? I was just looking why I feel so healthy the moment I enter the energy field of Varanasi. Because, the metabolism goes so high, literally the body is digesting the air itself. The very air is digested by the body. Body is enjoying the very breath or the energy field of this Anandavana, Varanasi.

This place is ecstasy for people who seek the higher purpose of life. See, the highest purpose is enlightenment, no doubt, but even if somebody is seeking little higher than what they are seeking. Even if they are seeking for health, they want complete health, then little higher than what they are seeking. They were looking for wealth, now they are looking for more wealth.
