Listen! Listen! Whether you are good or bad is going to be decided based on whether your acts are complete with your concept of life. Understand, if your concept of life is all about pleasure and money, and your acts are complete with it, you will have that. That’s all! There is nobody to judge whether money is the ultimate purpose of life. Forget about that! God is not a judge, please understand. He only sees the kind of Completion you are carrying. And, ultimately, he does not even see that. It is an automated mechanism as far as the functioning goes on. So, listen, “if HE wants he can interfere” does not mean HE goes on interfering. No! So, be very clear, God is not sitting and doing some judgement, passing some judgements about you every day – ‘Oh, this fellow, all the time running behind money! Let me punish him!’ No! In course of time, whenever you are deciding constantly For LIFE, you yourself may realize there is something more prior, you should give more priority, more importance, than money. You may evolve. Your idea about life may change. You may reinvent yourself, feeling, ‘No, there is something which is a little more than money. There is something in life which is a little more than money.’ So, you may start reinventing yourself. Then, let your acts be complete to that new idea of you, the way you reinvented you.

So, understand, deciding FOR LIFE, again and again and again, not entertaining laziness, not entertaining boredom, being in the space of constant excitement, being in the state of constant passion, compassion, excitement!

So, understand, the only way to be free from Karmas, the bondage created by the acts, by deeds, the only way is: Decide FOR LIFE! Decide FOR LIFE!

“One should desire to live in this world for hundreds of years, all the while doing his deeds dispassionately as sanctioned by the scriptures. In this way, the deeds done by you shall not cling to you. There is no other way by which a man can free himself from the bondage created by the deeds.”

Listen! Let me explain what is “Karma”.

“Karma” is the bondage created in you by your commission or omission of certain acts which is incomplete with your own cognition about life.

Listen! If you think money is life, some of the acts you did which didn’t bring money to you, or some of the acts you did not do, again which deprived you from money, commission or omission of certain acts which is incomplete with your concept of life, is “Karma”.

And, any commission or omission of the acts which is in sync and complete with your concept of life does not bring you any Karma. It does not bring you any incompletion. Read Full Article

UPANISHADS!  Actually, just every day when I come and sit here and utter that word, “Upanishads”, the way the truths are overflowing, verbalization becomes a big job!  Finding ideas is not at all a big job; verbalizing them has become a big job!

There are tons of books and tons of authors.  But, this book, Upanishads, to tell you honestly, if I have to put it a little poetically, the words feel shy to introduce Upanishads!  Words feel shy to introduce Upanishads!  If a child asks, ‘What is the size of an apple?’, you can show like this (Swamiji gestures with his hands).  ‘What is the size of a pumpkin?’, you can show like this (Swamiji again gestures with his hands).  If the child asks, ‘What is the size of the Planet Earth?’, can you show like this?  (Swamiji spreads his arms wide).  No!  This is not in any way signifying the size of the Planet Earth!  You can show, ‘This big!’  (Swamiji again spreads his arms wide).  But, that is in no way signifying the size of the Planet Earth!  That is in no way doing justification to the size of the Planet Earth!  Please understand!  So, what will I do with these words to introduce Upanishads?  I can only pull my mouth like this and say, “It is this big!’

The way they introduce you to you, the way they introduce the world to you, the way they introduce god to you, the way they introduce life to you, nothing can be compared to Upanishads.  Whether the purity of the substance they are delivering, or the poetic way they are expressing, or the very sound in which they have nicely embedded the vibrations of Kundalini awakening!  Upanishads not only have a linguistic and poetic importance, meaning, they have even phonetic importance.  Even phonetically they are important.  Actually, by the religious historians classifying Upanishads under Hinduism, they brought a great respect to Hinduism.  And, of course, Hindus are the inheritors.  It is our inheritance, no doubt.  But we need to live it and share it with the world.  It does not belong just to us.  Please understand, we might have been inheritors, but it does not belong just to us; it belongs to the whole universe!   Read Full Article

Krishna….I tell you, Krishna is the most time-tested enlightened master, and Gita is the most time-tested teaching, because even while he was delivering, the listener is not ready to believe.  He has to go to the extreme of showing the Vishwaroopa to make the listener believe, to establish his identity, credibility.

Bhagawan has to show Vishwaroopa thrice:

  • Once for Shishupala;
  • Once in the Kauravas’ Court; and,
  • Once for Arjuna.

Of course, several times he showed he is divine:  When he liberated Karna; When he gave blessings to Bheeshma; and, The moment he took birth, to tell Vasudeva and Devaki, he showed his divinity.

But, his Vishwaroopa he showed thrice.  If you see the timing, it is almost to make those persons understand who is standing in front of them, with whom are they playing.  Arjuna was so strong, continuously questioning.  Finally, Krishna has to show his Vishwaroopa to make Arjuna understand the principles he is teaching.  But, even then, in course of time, always this science gets lost.

एवं परम्पराप्राप्तमिमं राजर्षयो विदुः । स कालेनेह महता योगो नष्टः परन्तप ॥

“Evam paramparaa praaptham imam raja rishayo vidhuhu |

Sa kaaleneha mahatha Yogo nashtah Paranthapa ||

“This handed down thus in regular succession, the royal sages knew,

This Yoga, by long lapse of time, has been lost here, O Parantapa.”

Please understand, in course of time, the tsunami of your regular incompletions takes away your strength of Completion and the qualities born of the space of Completion.

Please listen!  Just yesterday we handled one important situation where a few people have lost the power of Completion.  When the tsunami of incompletions is awakened in you….  Please understand, money, power, women, wealth, these all are not cause or reason for incompletion, be very clear!  Don’t beat the chair if you hate the person!  No!  Money is not a reason.  Power is not a reason.  Wealth is not a reason.  Lust is not a reason.  The only reason for the tsunami of incompletion is we entertaining those patterns.  We entertaining those patterns!  Because, the same money, I don’t see, is making somebody else incomplete, somebody else to do this same kind of activity.  So many Mahants were shocked, ‘How can people lose authenticity?’  It is possible!  Whatever pattern you are carrying, when there is a huge volume of cotton inside and the fire comes near, it catches.  If it is just banana leaf, it won’t catch fire.  So, whatever pattern you are carrying inside, that responds to the world.

If you are caught in the money, money pattern, money engram, when money comes in front of you, you lose everything, you lose whatever you know as you.  Same way, if you are caught in the lust pattern, the other gender is there in front of you, you lose everything, you just lose whatever you know as you.  If you are caught in the hunger for power, the moment power comes in front of you, you just lose everything.  You think, ‘Just this one decision I will compromise; then the power will be with me.  After that I will become authentic again.’  No!  Anything which comes to you by compromising Authenticity, will continue to be with you only if you continue to compromise your authenticity.  If money comes to you by compromising your authenticity, that money will continue to stay with you only by compromising your authenticity.  If power comes to you by compromising Authenticity, that power will continue to stay with you only as long as you continue to compromise your authenticity.  If money comes to you because of your authenticity, how many people ever try to take it away, they won’t be able to take it away!  HAHAHAHAHAHA!  If power comes to you, certain glory comes to you, certain grace happens to you because of your power of Authenticity, how many people ever try to disgrace you, it is simply impossible!  Impossible!

Recently I read an analysis and survey article on the Internet; means, the people who write articles after analyzing, surveying different data, the freelancers.  Of course, their articles are picked up in journals also, the print media also, the freelancers.  The article lists the people who are not shaken by the scandals and rumours and gossips, the top ten international celebrities who are not shaken by any of the rumours, scandals, who could not be disgraced by any happenings around them, who continue to be successful.  The eighth name is “Paramahamsa Nithyananda”!  HAHAHAHA!  They are stating, ‘These are the ten people, no rumours, scandals could disgrace them or could stop their lives.’  They don’t know the science.  They wrote by doing some analysis and study.  I am now giving you the science, the secret.  I am giving you the secret: If any money, power, anything comes to you because of your authenticity, it can never be taken away from you!  If grace happens to you because of your authenticity, it can never be taken away from you!  That is why I am saying, anything which happens after enlightenment cannot be snatched away from you by anybody, because enlightenment itself cannot be snatched away!

Listen!  Sometimes when people do some immoral, illegal activity, who were good earlier, when those situations are brought in front of me, this is the only reason I find – Yogo Nashta Paranthapaha!  In course of time, because of non-practice, the power of Completion gives way, and the tsunami of incompletion takes over you.  Understand, the power of Completion gives way, the tsunami of incompletion takes you over.  The power of Completion when it loses power, when the power of incompletion takes you over, please listen, you lose the very identity of you.  When you lost you, you lost everything, because now you have to be searching who you are.  Anything can be lost, but not who you are.  Listen!  Anything can be lost, but not who you are.  Losing who you are is too costly a missing.

In English there is a proverb:  If money is lost, nothing is lost; if health is lost, something is lost; if your character is lost – I won’t say “character”, I will say “authenticity” – if your authenticity is lost, everything is lost!  Why do you think in our Sangha I am so meticulous about even where you sit?  I always insist, let the Mahants sit in the front row, then Kotharis sit, then Thanedars sit.  I always insist.  You may be thinking, ‘Why?  What is there in sitting?’  You don’t know!  Everything matters for your authenticity.  Because, I have seen in Mahanirvani Peetha, the whole inner image of a person changes the moment he is initiated!  The moment he is given that seat, that gaddhi, he redesigns the concept about himself, he redevelops the concept about himself, he recreates about himself.  That is why this big….all these marks, bhasma, rudrakshas.  These all make you authentic to who you are, what you want to be, what you are, what you want to be, constantly reminding yourself and others, aligning yourself and others’ experience of you, Inner Image, Outer Image, Others’ Image, and Life Image, aligning all the four.  All these are required.  All these are required.  And all this reminds you and takes care you don’t fall from Yoga, Yogo Nashta Paranthapa does not happen in your life.  Let the Yoga not be lost.  Let the authenticity not be lost.  Let the Yoga be not lost.  Let the authenticity be not lost.

Listen!  In course of time, when people see money, when people see power, Yoga gets lost.  Sometimes, due to non-practice also, Yoga gets lost.  Means, operating from the space of Completion is Yoga.  Living and radiating the space of Completion, living and radiating the space of Completion is also Yoga.  Listen!  Yogo Nashta Paranthapa!  Completion is the only way you can get out of the lost life.  Please understand, unable to retain your inspiration is nothing but life lost.  Unable to retain the inspiration is nothing but losing completely yourself.

Just yesterday, I was telling a devotee, ‘When life happens to you, and if you feel you are smaller, you lose inspiration.  But ability to stand with life in all its power and glory is life.  Yogo Nashta Paranthapa!  Yoga is lost when you don’t stand to the life.  Understand, every night Completion will make sure the incompletions don’t settle down on you as a powerful layer, and, suddenly, one day, you need to wake up and complete the whole thing.  No!  Every night Completion!  Every night Completion, so that the incompletions does not settle down in you as layer, as sediment, incompletions don’t settle down in you as layer, as sediment.  Yoga…Yoga…Yoga means operating from the space of Completion.  Anything can be lost, but not Yoga.  When you allow the incompletions to take over, when the incompletions become more and more powerful, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly but steadily, Yoga is lost.

I tell you, your every-day action is responsible either for extraordinary miracle or extraordinary accident.  Neither miracle nor accident happens over a second.  Neither miracle nor accident happens just like that.  No!  Whether it is the going up or going down, it happens because of your every-day activity.  Nothing comes as surprise, nothing comes as sudden.

Listen!  Listen!  Completion….every day when you practice Completion and fall asleep, your whole night Dreaming and Deep Sleep state aligns your unconsciousness to your life, to your authenticity.  Every day your Deep Sleep and Dream state supports you, supplying extraordinary powers to you, the next day to be more authentic.  Understand, unknown part of you is extraordinary powers of you.  If you take the blessings and support of the unknown part of you, it is extraordinary powers’ space.  Every night when you complete and fall asleep, the power of Completion, next day morning when you wake up you are there alive, your unconscious and sub-conscious supporting you to be more and more authentic….to be more and more authentic.  It is Authenticity, it is Authenticity that is life.  Authenticity, that is life, understand!

Bring Authenticity to your life.  It is Authenticity that is life.  Practice Completion continuously, and don’t lose living out of Completion, don’t lose your Authenticity, don’t lose your Authenticity.  It is unfortunate, human-beings lose their Authenticity, in course of time their inspiration, energy for Completion, to live in the space of Completion.  Listen!  Life happens, life happens when you continue to operate from the space of Completion.

Wealth is not a thing to be created or managed. It is you. If you are not having wealth be very clear the flow of your very being has some serious flaw. Please understand.

Krishna says very clearly

“Gahano Karmano Gathihi”.

Life is work.

If you are not having wealth you are working for poverty.

You work for only 2 things in your life: either you work for wealth or you work for poverty. Find out how you are working for poverty and change the tendency to work for wealth. Poverty is sin, please understand.  Dump the statement: “Blessed are those you are poor that they go to heaven”, no. And even if they go to heaven, who wants to be in heaven where all poor fellows are sitting J , come on ! “Blessed are those who are rich, they live in Heaven”. This is a new testament, understand. Don’t make poverty and failure sacred. We have a very wrong understanding.

You see, grabbing wealth from others is wrong, but creating is not wrong. We have such a life negative idea, you see, may be when Jesus uttered that statement ‘blessed are those who are poor’, all the rich fellows have become rich by grabbing, not by creating. You see that tribal lifestyle is grabbing lifestyle that is why the only power they know is physical, brutally rob, that’s all. That is why always the king is supposed to be a fighter, not a thinker. So, He is addressing a civilization which is a muscle power based civilization. Naturally wealth means power, if you have power you grab others’ wealth. That is why, he might have said ‘blessed are those who are poor’, because they don’t grab others wealth. But it is wrongly understood, spread, poverty has become sacred.

Poverty has no sacredness.

Failure has no sacredness.

Your ignorance cannot be justified. You are not supposed to be shown any sympathy, if you are a failure or ignorant.

Questionnaire: ‘According to the Upanishads, we are not the “doer” where we do our job at work. How can we detach ourselves from the doing and just work as a service for the world that God created? If I am not supposed to have a desire to succeed in my business, and have pride, what will motivate me to do it? And, how can I detach myself from this desire to be successful?’

Swamiji: I will read the question. ‘According to the Upanishads, we are not the “doer” where we do our job at work. How can we detach ourselves from the doing and just work as a service for the world that God created? If I am not supposed to have a desire to succeed in my business and have pride, what will motivate me to do it? How can I detach myself from this desire to be successful?’

I think, just now I answered your whole question. Your question: ‘According to the Upanishads, we are not the doer where we do our job at work. How can we detach ourselves……?’

Please, I wanted you to understand the first statement you made, ‘According to the Upanishad, we are not the doer.’ You need to understand that more. You will understand that statement only after the Completion process. Only after the Completion process you will understand that all this while you were not the doer, your incompletions were the doers, your incompletions were making you do what you were doing. When the Upanishads say, ‘You are not the doer’, they mean your incompletions are the doer. But unfortunately, people started thinking God is the doer. No! When you are told “you are not the doer”, it means the doer in the wrong person, not the doer in the right person. It is so unfortunate!

One guy asks his friend, ‘Why are you not wearing your wedding ring in the right finger? Why are you

wearing your wedding ring in the wrong finger?

The guy replied, ‘Yes, I am married to the wrong woman!’

HAHAHAHA….!

No, really! You have a wrong understanding! It is so unfortunate, when the Upanishads say “you are not the doer”, complete with who thinks is the doer, destroy the doer. But, unfortunately, you start thinking God is the doer! No! So, you need to understand this statement of Upanishad much deeper. Neither you are the doer, nor God is the doer, because you are God! Your incompletions are the doer. So, complete. Let your incompletions which were the doers, let that die. Then you will understand you have a great zeal to be successful in Enriching! Now, as long as you feel you are the doer, means your incompletions are making you believe you are the doer, you will not have success in anything you do, and you will not be able to detach from the doer. And, even if you try to detach from the doer, you will only fall into depression; you will not have motivation to do anything else.

Please understand the complications involved in the whole situation you are describing.

First thing, you can’t detach yourself from doing. Your incompletions are such it does all the crime, but it puts you into suffering. It won’t take responsibility. Completion is such, it makes you do all the good, but it gives you the benefits. The doer is the incompletions. Your incompletions are the doer. Please understand, your incompletions are so powerful, not only it does, but it puts you into suffering for all his actions. Completion is such, it gets all the pleasures, but makes you enjoy the results. Understand, incompletion is such, it does all the crime, it pushes you to do all the wrong things, but puts you into suffering. It doesn’t take the responsibility. Completion is such, it makes you do all the good, but gives you the benefits.

Incompletion does not trust even itself. Incompletion has deep doubt about itself. And incompletion always leads to more and more complications.

Your whole question will be answered on its own if you enter even a little bit into Completion. Sometimes, even the surety of incompletion leads you to more problems. See, incompletions sometimes will be so sure, it leads to more incompletions. In the incompletion moment, you strongly believe this disease is going to come to you. You will see that incompletion brings the disease!

I have a story:

There was a trial happening in the court for murder. A defendant was on trial for murder. There was a strong evidence indicating guilt, but there was no corpse. In the law, the dead body is very important.

Corpse is very important to prosecute.

The defense’s closing statement, the lawyer, knowing that his client would be probably convicted, resorted to a trick saying, ‘Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I have a surprise for you all.’ The lawyer said as he looked at his watch, ‘Within one minute, the person you all presumed dead in this case, will walk into this court-room!’, he declared. And he looks towards the court-room’s door. The jurors, shocked, stunned, all looked on eagerly, all of them were looking at the door. A minute passed….nothing happened.

Finally, the lawyer said, ‘Actually I made up this previous statement, but you all looked on with anticipation. I, therefore, tell you all that you have a considerable doubt, a reasonable doubt in this case as to whether anyone was killed at all and insist that you return a verdict of “not guilty”.

The jury really got confused and they retired to deliberate. A few minutes later, the jury returned and pronounced the verdict of “Guilty”!

The lawyer asked, ‘How, but how can you say? You must have had some doubt. I saw all of you stare at the door!’

The jury foreman replied, ‘Yes, we all looked at the door, no doubt. But your client did not!’

Sometimes, the surety, the sureness of your incompletion itself puts you in more problem!
